Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps
Los Angeles Kings v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
- In Boston, the Bruins would play host to the Los Angeles Kings, and after a scoreless first and second periods, Mason Lohrei would score to give the Bruins the 1-0 lead, but Drew Doughty would score to tie the game at one for the Kings to force overtime. Then in the extra frame, Charlie McAvoy would score to give the Bruins the 2-1 overtime victory over the Kings.

San Jose Sharks v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET
- In Buffalo, the San Jose Sharks would come to town to face the Sabres, and in the first period, Jack Quinn and Alex Tuch would score for the Sabres to take the 2-0 lead, but Macklin Celebrini would score to get the Sharks on the board and back within one. In the second period, Beck Malenstyn and Jason Zucker would score to give the Sabres the three goal lead, but Kiefer Sherwood would score to get the Sharks back within two. Then in the third period, Quinn would net his second of the game to reclaim the three goal lead for the Sabres, but Alexander Wennberg would score on the powerplay for the Sharks to get back within two again. However, Quinn would score on the empty net to complete the hat trick and give the Sabres the 6-3 victory over the Sharks.
Toronto Maple Leafs v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
- In Montreal for an Original Six matchup, the Canadiens would face the slumping Toronto Maple Leafs, and in the first period, Oliver Kapanen would net his 20th of the season and Phillip Danault would score to give the Canadiens the 2-0 lead. In the second period, William Nylander would score to get the Leafs on the board and back within one. Then in the third period, Jake Evans would score an empty netter to give the Canadiens the 3-1 victory over the Maple Leafs.
Columbus Blue Jackets v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 7p ET
- In Tampa Bay, the Columbus Blue Jackets would take on the Lightning, and in the first period, Gage Goncalves would score to give the Lightning the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Ivan Provorov, Conor Garland, and Kirill Marchenko (PPG) would score to give the Jackets the 3-1 lead, but J.J. Moser would score to get the Lightning back within one. Then in the third period, Garland would net his second of the game while on the powerplay and Dante Fabbro would score on the empty net to give the Blue Jackets the 5-2 victory over the Lightning.
Detroit Red Wings v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET
- In Florida, the Panthers would play host to the Detroit Red Wings, and in the first period, Vinnie Hinostroza would score his first as a Panther to give them the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Patrick Kane and Justin Faulk would score to give the Wings the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period, Niko Mikkola would score for the Panthers to tie the game at two and Marco Kasper would score to retake the lead for the Wings, but a pair of goals by Carter Verhaeghe would give the Panthers the 4-3 victory over the Red Wings.
Calgary Flames v. New York Rangers – 7p ET
- At Madison Square Garden, the Calgary Flames continue their road trip as they visit the New York Rangers, and in the first period, Alexis Lafrenière would score on the powerplay to give the Rangers the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Conor Sheary would score and Lafrenière would score his second of the game to give the Rangers the 3-0 lead. Then in the third period, Lafrenière would score to complete the hat trick and give the Rangers the 4-0 victory over the Flames. Jonathan Quick would stop all 21 shots faced to earn the shutout.
Pittsburgh Penguins v. Carolina Hurricanes – 7p ET
- In Carolina, the Hurricanes would play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and in the first period, Logan Stankoven would score for the Hurricanes to take the 1-0 lead, but Anthony Mantha would score to tie the game at one for the Penguins. In the second period, Bryan Rust would score on the powerplay to give the Penguins the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period, Mark Jankowski, Seth Jarvis, and Alexander Nikishin (PPG) would score to give the Hurricanes the 4-2 lead, but goals from Noel Acciari and Rust would tie the game at 4 for the Penguins to force overtime. After a scoreless five minutes of extra hockey, it would be Jackson Blake with the shootout winner to give the Hurricanes the 5-4 victory over the Penguins.
New York Islanders v. St. Louis Blues – 730p ET
- In St. Louis, Brayden Schenn would return less than a week after being traded as the New York Islanders visit the Blues, and in the first period Philip Broberg would score to give the Blues the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Dylan Holloway and Jimmy Snuggerud would score to give the Blues the three goal lead, but Jean-Gabriel Pageau would score to get the Islanders on the board and cut their deficit to two. Then in the third period, Calum Ritchie and Bo Horvat would both score powerplay goals to tie the game at three for the Islanders to force overtime. In the extra frame, Mathew Barzal would score to complete the comeback as the Islanders would defeat the Blues with the 4-3 overtime victory.
Vegas Golden Knights v. Dallas Stars – 8p ET
- In Dallas, the Stars would play host to the Vegas Golden Knights, and after a scoreless first period, Jack Eichel would open the scoring for the Knights to take the 1-0 lead. However, the second period would also prove to be the only period to feature any scoring as Oskar Back and Jamie Benn (PPG) would score to give the Stars the 2-1 victory over the Golden Knights.
Utah Mammoth v. Minnesota Wild – 8p ET
- In Minnesota, the Utah Mammoth would come to the Twin Cities to battle the Wild, and in the first period, Kirill Kaprizov would score to give the Wild the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Matt Boldy would score to grow the wild’s lead to 2. Then in the third period, Bobby Brink, Danila Yurov, and Ryan Hartman would score to give the Wild the 5-0 victory over the Mammoth. Filip Gustavsson would stop all 25 shots faced to earn the shutout for the Wild.
Anaheim Ducks v. Winnipeg Jets – 830p ET
- In Winnipeg, the Jets would play host to the Anaheim Ducks, and after a scoreless first period, Morgan Barron would open the scoring for the Jets, but goals from Tim Washe, Ryan Poehling, and Alex Killorn would give the Ducks the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period, Jackson LaCombe would score the empty netter to give the Ducks the 4-1 victory over the Jets.
