News

  • The Washington Capitals traded F Nic Down to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for G Jesper Vikman, a 2029 second round pick in the NHL Entry Draft and a 2026 third round pick in the NHL Entry Draft.

  • The San Jose Sharks acquired D Jett Woo from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for D Jack Thompson.

  • The Florida Panthers traded their 2026 seventh round pick in the NHL Entry Draft to the Minnesota Wild for D Jeff Petry.

  • The Ottawa Senators have traded their 2026 second round pick and a conditional third round pick in the NHL Entry Draft to the Los Angeles Kings for F Warren Foegele and a 2026 conditional third round pick in the NHL Entry Draft.
    • The conditions of the picks include:
      • Ottawa receives the worst of Los Angeles own thrid round pick or Dallas’ third round pick that was acquired in a prior trade.
      • Los Angeles will acquire the better of Ottawa’s own third round pick or Washington’s third round pick that was acquired in a prior trade.
      • However, if both Ottawa and Washington miss the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, then Ottawa will transfer the worst of the third round pick to Los Angeles or Washington’s third round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.

  • The Ottawa Senators acquired a conditional fourth round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for F David Perron.
    • The conditions of the pick are as follows:
      • If Perron plays in a single game, Ottawa will receive the pick that previously belonged to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
      • The pick will be upgraded to a 2026 third round pick if Detroit advances to the second round of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs and Perron plays in 50% of first round contests.

  • The Dallas Stars acquired F Michael Bunting from the Nashville Predators for a third round pick, that previously belonged to the Seattle Kraken, in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.

  • The Toronto Maple Leafs traded 2027 conditional first round and 2026 conditional fifth round draft picks in the NHL Entry Draft to the Colorado Avalanche for F Nicolas Roy.
    • Conditions of the picks include:
      • In the event that Colorado’s 2027 first round pick falls within the top 10, Colorado will then send its unprotected first rounder to Toronto in 2028.
      • The lowest of the third round pick owned by Colorado will transfer to Toronto.

Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Toronto Maple Leafs v. New York Rangers – 7p ET

  • In New York, there was an Original Six battle as the Rangers hosted the Maple Leafs.  In the first, Toronto took the 1-0 lead with Matias Maccelli’s 12th of the year but then New York tied the game with Will Cuylle’s 14th of the year.  In the second, Toronto re-took the lead as Easton Cowan netted his eighth of the year but then Vladislav Gavirkov scored his 11th on the Rangers power play to tie the game once more.  In the third New York took the lead with Alexis Lafrenière’s 14th of the year and then Jaroslav Chmelar netted his first career NHL goal to give the Blueshirts the 4-2 lead.  Mika Zibanejad’s 25th of the year gave New York the 5-2 lead and then Willy Cuylle scored an empty netter, his second goal of the night as the Rangers defeated the Maple Leafs 6-2.

Toronto Sceptres v. Boston Fleet – 7p ET (PWHL)

  • In the lone game on the PWHL schedule, the Sceptres visited the Fleet and Ella Huber scored her second of the season in the first period as the Fleet shutout the Sceptres 1-0.

Utah Mammoth v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET

  • In Philadelphia, the Flyers hosted the Mammoth and following the scoreless first, Nick Schmaltz scored a power play goal, his 24th of the year to put Utah up 1-0 and then Clayton Keller scored his 19th as Utah went up 2-0.  In the third, Michael Carcone scored his 12th of the year with an empty net goal as the Mammoth got the 3-0 shutout victory over the Flyers.

Buffalo Sabres v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET

  • In Pittsburgh, the Penguins hosted the Sabres and in the first Ryan McLeod scored a shorthanded goal, his 12th of the year, to put Buffalo up 1-0 but then Pittsburgh tied the gamer when Bryan Rust scored his 21st with a shorthanded goal.  In the second, Josh Norris scored his ninth of the year with a power play goal to put Buffalo back in the lead and then Alex Tuch netted his 25th with a shorthanded goal to put the Sabres up 3-1.  Then, Owen Power scored his sixth to give Buffalo the 4-1 lead.  In the third, Mattias Samuelsson scored an empty netter as the Sabres swiftly defeated the Penguins 5-1.

Florida Panthers v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p ET

  • In Columbus, the Blue Jackets hosted the Panthers and in the first, Ivan Provorov scored his seventh of the year on the power play to give Columbus the 1-0 lead.  In the second, Mathieu Olivier scored his 10th of the year to give the Blue Jackets the 2-0.  In the third, Boone Jenner scored his ninth to give Columbus the 3-0 lead but the Florida got on the board when Niko Mikkola scored his second of the year.  Then, Florida got within a goal when Sam Bennett netted his 23rd on the Panthers power play but then Mathieu Olivier scored and empty net goal to give the Blue Jackets the 4-2 victory over the Panthers.

Boston Bruins v. Nashville Predators – 8p ET

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Winnipeg Jets – 8p ET

  • In Winnipeg. the Lightning made the annual trek to Central Canada to take on the Jets and after a scoreless first, Winnipeg took the 1-0 lead when Morgan Barron scored his ninth and then Mark Scheifele scored his 29th to give the Jets the 2-0 lead.  In the third, Tampa Bay got on the board when Brayden Point scored a power play goal but then Winnipeg re-took the two goal lead when Gustav Nyquist scored his first of the year.  Kyle Connor then scored an empty netter, his 28th goal of the year as the Jets grounded the Lightning 4-1.
