- In the PWHL, Vancouver Goldeneyes D Ashton Bell was named the January recipient of the Intact Impact Award.
- Ashton Bell was honoured for her leadership, committing to her teammates, as well as massive support on and off the ice.
- With the PWHL’s partnership with the Intact Insurance group, $5,000 will be donated to HEROS Hockey (Hockey Education Reaching Out Society) on her behalf. That group delivers free hockey and life-skills programming to youth in need across Canada.

Montreal Victoire v. New York Sirens – 7p ET (PWHL)
- In the lone PWHL contest on the evening, the Sirens and Victoire resume the PWHL schedule. In the first, Montréal took the 1-0 lead as Dara Greig scored her second of the year and then Jade Downie-Landry’s first of the year put the Victoire up 2-0. Then, Montréal went up 3-0 as Skylar Irving scored her first career PWHL goal. In the second, New York got on the board when Casey O’Brien scored a power play goal, her fifth goal of the season. In the third, Montréal’s Lina Ljungblom scored a power play goal, her first goal of the season as the Victoire defeated the Sirens 4-1.

Columbus Blue Jackets v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
- In Boston, the Bruins hosted the Blue Jackets and in the first Columbus took the 1-0 lead when Kirill Marchenko scored his 20th of the year but then Boston got on the board when Viktor Arvidsson scored his 15th of the year. In the second, Boston took the 2-1 lead with a power play goal from Morgan Geekie, his 33rd goal on the season. In the third, Sean Kuraly’s fifth of the year put Boston up a pair but then Adam Fantilli’s 14th of the year brought Columbus within a goal. Then, Viktor Arvidsson scored his second goal of the night with an empty netter to give the Bruins the 4-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
New York Islanders v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
- In Montréal, the Canadiens hosted the Islanders and in the first Montréal took the 1-0 lead when Noah Dobson scored his 11th of the year. In the second, Noah Dobson scored his second of the night with a power paly goal to put the Canadiens up 2-0 but then Matthew Schaefer scored a pair of goals, the first being on the Islanders power play, to tie the game for New York. In the third, Cole Caufield’s 33rd goal on the power play put the Habs back in the lead but then Andres Lee scored his 12th to tie the game for the Isles. In overtime, Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored the game winner, his 13th goal of the year, as the Islanders downed the Canadiens 4-3.
Detroit Red Wings v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
- In Ottawa, the Senators hosted the Red Wings and in the first Ottawa took the 1-0 lead as Brady Tkachuk scored his 15th of the year on the power play. In the second, Dylan Larkin scored his 27th of the year on the power play to tie the game for Detroit. After a scoreless third period, Dylan Larkin scored his second of the night in the overtime session to give the Red Wings the 2-1 win over the Senators.
Toronto Maple Leafs v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET
- In Florida, the Panthers hosted the Toronto Maple Leafs and in the first Florida took the 1-0 lead when Brad Marchand scored his 26th of the year and then Carter Verhaeghe scored his 17th of the year with a power play goal to put the Panthers up 2-0. Then, Evan Rodrigues netted his 11th of the year with a shorthanded goal as Florida took the 3-0 lead. Following a scoreless second, John Tavares scored a power play goal, his 22nd of the year, to put Toronto on the board but then Florida re-took the three goal lead with an empty netter from Brad Marchand, his 27th goal of the year. Then, Matthew Tkachuk scored his fourth of the year on an empty net as the Panthers beat the Maple Leafs 5-1.
New Jersey Devils v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET
- In Pittsburgh, the Penguins hosted the Devils and in the first Tommy Novak scored a power play goal, his 12th goal of the year, to put the Pens up 1-0. In the second, New Jersey tied the contest with Paul Cotter’s sixth of the year. In the third, Connor Clifton scored his second of the year as Pittsburgh re-took the lead and then Egor Chinakov scored his 12th of the year as the Pens went up two. Then, Blake Lizzote scored a shorthanded, empty net goal, his seventh goal of the year, as the Penguins defeated the Devils 4-1.
Tampa Bay Lightning v. Carolina Hurricanes – 7p ET
- In Raleigh, the Hurricanes hosted the Lightning and in the first Carolina took the 1-0 lead with Nikolaj Ehlers 15th of the year and then Logan Stankoven’s 11th of the year put the Canes up 2-0. Taylor Hall then scored his 13th of the year as Carolina went up 3-0 but then Tampa Bay got on the board with Brandon Hagel’s 28th of the year. Then, Nikita Kucherov scored his 31st of the year as the Lightning got within a goal. In the second, Tampa Bay tied the game with Dominic James’ sixth of the year but then Carolina re-took the lead when Seth Jarvis scored his 26th of the year. Then, the Bolts tied the game once more with a power play goal from Brayden Point, his 14th goal on the year. In the third, Sebastian Aho scored his 21st of the year on the power play as the Hurricanes squeaked by the Lightning for the 5-4 win.
Philadelphia Flyers v. New York Rangers – 8p ET
- In New York City, the Rangers hosted their rivals, the Flyers, in a divisional match-up. In the first, New York took the 1-0 lead as Sam Carrick scored his fourth of the year. In the second, the Rangers took the 2-0 lead when Alexis Lafrenière scored his 13th of the year but then Philadelphia got on the board when Matvei Michkov scored his 14th of the year on the Flyers power play. In the third, Trevor Zegras scored his 21st of the year as the Flyers tied the game. In overtime, Matvei Michkov scored his 15th of the year as the Flyers secured the comeback to defeat the Rangers 3-2.
Seattle Kraken v. St. Louis Blues – 8p ET
- In St. Louis, the Blues hosted the Kraken and in the first, St. Louis went up 1-0 as Dylan Holloway scored his ninth of the year but then Seattle tied the game as Kaapo Kakko scored his seventh of the year. In the second, Jordan Kyrou scored his 14th to put the Blues back in the lead and then Dylan Holloway scored his second of the night as St. Louis went up 3-1. In the third, Pius Suter scored his eighth of the year as St. Louis took the three goal lead and then Dylan Holloway completed the hat trick with an empty netter as the Blues breezed by the Kraken 5-1.
Chicago Blackhawks v. Nashville Predators – 8p ET
- In Nashville, the Predators hosted the Blackhawks in Music City USA, and in the first Nashville took the 1-0 lead when Filip Forsberg scored his 25th of the year. In the second, Chicago tied the game as Connor Bedard scored his 24th of the year. In the third, the Blackhawks took the 2-1 lead when Tyler Bertuzzi scored a power play goal, his 26th goal of the year, but then Nashville tied the game when Matthew Wood scored a power play goal of his own, his 10th of the year. Then, Ryan O’Reilly scored his 21st of the year to put Nashville back in the lead and then Steven Stamkos scored an empty netter, his 29th goal of the year, as the Predators doubled up the Blackhawks 4-2.
