  • The New Jersey Devils have waived F Juho Lammikko on waivers for the purposes of contract termination.  In addition, the Florida Panthers have also waived F Josh Davies for the purposes of contract termination.

Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Pittsburgh Penguins v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET

  • In Buffalo, the Sabres welcomed the Penguins as they faced off in the lone match-up in New York on the year and Buffalo took the 1-0 lead with Jason Zucker’s 15th but then Avery Hayes scored his first career NHL goal to tie the game for Pittsburgh.  Then, Avery Hayes netted his second of the year to put the Pens up 2-1.  In the second, Ben Kindel’s 13th of the year gave Pittsburgh the 3-1 lead.  In the third, Tage Thompson’s 30th on the power play brought the Sabres within a goal then Pittsburgh went back up two with Tommy Novak’s 11th of the year.  Then, Ben Kindel scored his second of the night with a shorthanded goal as the Penguins downed the Sabres 5-2.

New York Islanders v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET

  • In the Garden State, the Devils hosted the Islanders and after a scoreless first, Casey Cizikas’ seventh of the year put the Isles up 1-0 but then Nico Hischier’s 19th of the year put New Jersey on the board to tie the game.  In the third, the New York re-took the lead as Bo Horvat scored his 24th of the year and then Mathew Barzal scored an empty netter, his 17th goal of the year, to give the Islanders the 3-1 win over the Devils.

Carolina Hurricanes v. New York Rangers – 7p ET

  • In Manhattan, the Rangers and Hurricanes faced off for their final match-up on the season and in the first Carolina took the 1-0 lead when Andrei Svechnikov scored his 21st of the year.  Following a scoreless second, Jordan Staal scored an empty net goal, his 15th of the year, as the Hurricanes shutout the Rangers 2-0.

Ottawa Senators v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET

  • In Philadelphia, the Flyers hosted the Senators in their final match-up on the season and after a scoreless first, Ottawa took the 1-0 lead with Nick Cousins eighth of the year.  In the third, Philadelphia tied the game as Jamie Drysdale scored his fifth of the year.  In overtime, Tim Stützle scored the game winner, his 28th goal on the year, to give the Senators the 2-1 win over the Flyers.

Nashville Predators v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET

  • In Washington, the Capitals hosted the Predators and in the first, Washington took the 1-0 lead with Tom Wilson’s 23rd of the year and then Pierre-Luc Dubois scored his first of the year on the power play to give the Caps the 2-0 lead.  In the second, Jakob Chychrun scored his 20th of the year to put Washington up 3-0 but then Nashville got on the board with Jonathan Marchessault’s 10th of the year.  In the third, Nashville got within a goal with Michael McCarron’s fifth of the year but then Jakob Chychrun scored his second of the night with a power play goal to give the Capitals the 4-2 win over the Predators.

Florida Panthers v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 730p ET

  • In Tampa Bay, the Sunshine State Battle resumed as the Lightning hosted the Panthers in the teams final matchup in the regular season.  In the first, Tampa took the 1-0 lead when Brandon Hagel scored his 27th of the year and then the Bolts went up 2-0 lead as Zemgus Girgensons scored his seventh of the year.  In the second, Tampa went up 3-0 as Jake Guentzel scored his 26th of the year with a power play goal and then Erik Cernak scored his first of the season as the Bolts took the 4-0 lead.  In the third, Pontus Holmberg scored his ninth of the year with a power play goal as Tampa went up 5-0 but then Florida responded to get on the board as Mackie Samoskevich scored a power play goal of his own, his sixth goal on the season.  Then, Oliver Bjorkstrand netted his 10th of the year as the Lightning stormed over the Panthers 6-1.
