News

  • The Buffalo Sabres and F Josh Doan have agreed to a seven year contract extension that runs through the 2032-33 season.
    • The contract has an AAV of $6.95 million.

  • The Boston Bruins and Alex Steeves have agreed to a two year contract extension.
    • The contract has an AAV of $1.625 million.

  • Jackson LaCombe was named a replacement player for the 2026 United States Olympic Men’s Hockey team.
    • LaCombe replaces the injured Seth Jones.

Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Montreal Victoire v. Minnesota Frost – 7p ET (PWHL)

  • In Minnesota for the lone PWHL game of the night, the Frost hosted the Victoire.  Following a scoreless first, Montréal took the 1-0 lead with Maureen Murphy’s first goal of the season.  In the third, Minnesota tied the game when Kelly Pannek scored her sixth of the year.  In overtime, Marie-Philip Poulin scored her sixth as the Victoire got the 2-1 win over the Frost.

Detroit Red Wings v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET

  • In Toronto, the Maple Leafs and Red Wings faced off in an Original Six match-up.  In the first, Toronto got on the board when Scott Laughton scored his seventh of the year but then Detroit evened the score when Simon Edvinsson got his sixth of the year.  After a scoreless second and third, Dylan Larkin scored the game winner, his 25th goal of the year, to give the Red Wings the 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
