Minnesota Wild v. Buffalo Sabres – 1230p ET
- In Buffalo for an early afternoon matinee, the Sabres would play host to the Minnesota Wild, and in the first period, Marcus Foligno would score to give the Wild the 1-0 lead, but Ryan McLeod would score to tie the game at one for the Sabres. However, with 8 seconds left in the period, Ryan Hartman would score to retake the lead for the Wild. In the second period, Vladimir Tarasenko would score for the Wild to grow their lead to two, but goals from Peyton Krebs, Jack Quinn, and Alex Tuch (PPG) would give the Sabres the 4-3 lead. However, moments after the Sabres took the lead, Quinn Hughes would score to tie the game at 4 for the Wild. Then after a scoreless third period, Mats Zuccarello would score on the powerplay to give the Wild the 5-4 overtime victory over the Sabres.
New York Rangers v. Philadelphia Flyers – 1p ET
- In Philadelphia, the Flyers would battle the New York Rangers in a Metro Division matinee, and in the first period, Travis Konecny would open the scoring for the Flyers, but goals from Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, and Brennan Othmann would give the Rangers the 3-1 lead. In the second period, Zibanejad would score a pair of goals to complete the hat trick and Panarin would net his second of the game to give the Rangers a commanding 6-1 lead, but Travis Sanheim would score shorthanded to get the Flyers back on the board. Then in the third period, Trevor Zegras would score for the Flyers, but the Rangers would go on to defeat the Flyers 6-3.
New York Islanders v. Calgary Flames – 3p ET
- In Calgary, the New York Islanders would come to town to battle the Flames, and in the first period, Yegor Sharangovich would score to give the Flames the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Adam Klapka, Justin Kirkland, and Yan Kuznetsov would score to give the Flames the 4-0 lead, but Jean-Gabriel Pageau would score to get the Islanders on the board. Then in the third period, Anders Lee would score for the Islanders, but the Flames would go on to defeat the Islanders 4-2.
Vancouver Goldeneyes v. Toronto Sceptres – 3p ET (PWHL)
- At Scotiabank Arena for the Battle on Bay Street, the Toronto Sceptres would play host to the Vancouver Goldeneyes in PWHL action, and after a scoreless first period, Savannah Harmon would score her first of the season while on the powerplay to give the Sceptres the 1-0 lead, but Sarah Nurse would score against her former team to tie the game at one for the Goldeneyes. Then after a scoreless third period, Daryl Watts would score to give the Sceptres the 2-1 overtime victory over the Goldeneyes.
Seattle Kraken v. Utah Mammoth – 5p ET
- In Utah, the Mammoth would play host to the Seattle Kraken, and in the first period, Jordan Eberle would open the scoring for the Kraken, but Kevin Stenlund would score shorthanded to tie the game at one for the Mammoth. In the second period, Nate Schmidt and Nick Schmaltz would score for the Mammoth to take the 3-1 lead, but goals from Matty Beniers and Chandler Stephenson would tie the game at three for the Kraken. Then in the third period, Schmidt would net his second of the game and both Lawson Crouse and Barrett Hayton (ENG) would give the Mammoth the 6-3 victory over the Kraken.

Montreal Canadiens v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
- In Ottawa for Hockey Night in Canada, the Senators would go to battle with the Montreal Canadiens, and in the first period, Juraj Slafkovsky and Cole Caufield would both score on the powerplay to give the Canadiens the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Brady Tkachuk (PPG) and Tim Stutzle would score to tie the game at two for the Senators, but Josh Anderson would score to retake the lead for the Canadiens. However, goals from Dylan Cozens (PPG) and David Perron would score to give the Senators the 4-3 lead. Then in the third period, Jake Sanderson would score to give the Senators the 2 goal lead, but goals from Slafkovsky and Alexandre Carrier would tie the game at five for the Canadiens to force overtime. In the extra frame, Caufield would net his second of the game to give the Canadiens the 6-5 overtime victory over the Senators.
Carolina Hurricanes v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET
- In New Jersey, the Carolina Hurricanes would come to town to battle the Devils, and after a scoreless first period, Andrei Svechnikov would net a pair of goals to give the Hurricanes the 2-0 lead. Theni n the third period, Timo Meier would score on the powerplay to get the Devils on the board and back within one, but Jackson Blake would score and Svechnikov would score to complete the hat trick and give the Hurricanes the 4-1 victory over the Devils.
Columbus Blue Jackets v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET
- In Pittsburgh, the Penguins would play host to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and in the first period, Zachary Aston-Reese would score his first of the season to give the Jackets the 1-0 lead, but goals from Connor Clifton and Rickard Rakell would give the Penguins the 2-1 lead. In the second period, Kirill Marchenko and Danton Heinen would score to give the Jackets the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period, Sidney Crosby would score to tie the game at three to force overtime for the Penguins. After a scoreless five minutes of extra hockey, Charlie Coyle would score the shootout winner to give the Blue Jackets the 4-3 victory over the Penguins.
Florida Panthers v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
- In Washington, the Capitals would play host to the Florida Panthers before the PWHL takes over on Sunday, and in the first period, A.J. Greer would score to give the Panthers the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Jakob Chychrun would score a pair of goals to give the Capitals the 2-1 lead, but goals from Sam Bennett and Uvis Balinskis (PPG) would give the Panthers the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period, empty net goals by Anton Lundell and Carter Verhaeghe would give the Panthers the 5-2 victory over the Capitals.
Toronto Maple Leafs v. Winnipeg Jets – 7p ET
- In Winnipeg, the Jets would play host to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and after a scoreless first period, Alex Iafallo and Kyle Connor would score to give the Jets the 1-0 lead, but Auston Matthews would score to get the Leafs on the board and back within one. In the third period, Nino Niederreiter would score for the Jets to retake the 2 goal lead, but goals from Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Bobby McMann would tie the game at three for the Leafs to force overtime. Then in the extra frame, Max Domi would score to give the Maple Leafs the 4-3 overtime victory over the Jets.
Boston Bruins v. Chicago Blackhawks – 8p ET
- In Chicago, the Blackhawks would battle the Boston Bruins in an Original Six matchup, and in the first period, Ryan Greene and Wyatt Kaiser would score to give the Blackhawks the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Charlie McAvoy, Mason Lohrei, and Viktor Arvidsson would score to give the Bruins the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period, Lohrei would net his second of the game while on the powerplay and Marat Khusnutdinov would score to give the Bruins the 5-2 victory over the Blackhawks.
