  • The Montreal Canadiens and F Alexandre Texier have agreed to a two-year extension through the 2027-28 season.
    • The contract has an AAV of $2.5 million.
    • Since Texier was acquired on November 23rd, Texier has 16 points in 25 contests.

Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Toronto Sceptres v. Boston Fleet – 7p ET (PWHL)

  • In Boston, the Fleet hosted the Sceptres and after a scoreless first, Boston took the 1-0 lead when Alina Müller scored her second of the year.  In the third, Boston took the 2-0 lead when Shay Maloney scored her second of the year but then Emma Maltais responded with her second to put Toronto on the board.  However, the Fleet held on to down the Sceptres 2-1.

Seattle Kraken v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET

  • In New Jersey, the Devils hosted the Kraken and in first, New Jersey took the 1-0 lead when Cody Glass scored his 10th of the year and then Seattle got on the board with Adam Larsson’s fourth of the year.  In the second, New Jersey re-took the lead when Nico Hischier scored a power play goal, his 14th goal of the year, but then Seattle responded when Jared McCann scored a power play goal of his own, his 10th of the year, to tie the game.  After a scoreless third, Nico Hischier scored the game winner, his second goal of the night, as the Devils downed the Kraken 3-2.

Philadelphia Flyers v. Buffalo Sabres – 730p ET

  • In Buffalo, the Sabres hosted the Flyers and in the first Buffalo took the 1-0 lead when Rasmus Dahlin scored his fifth with a power play goal and then Mattias Samuelsson scored his eighth to put the Sabres up 2-0.  In the second, Jack Quinn scored his 10th as Buffalo went up 3-0 and then Philadelphia got on the board when Owen Tippett netted his 15th.  Then, Rasmus Dahlin scored his second power play goal of the night as Buffalo re-took the three goal lead.  In the third, Trevor Zegras scored a power play goal, his 18th goal of the year, to bring Philly within two but then Ryan McLeod scored a shorthanded, empty net goal as the Sabres downed the Flyers 5-2.

Ottawa Senators v. New York Rangers – 730p ET

  • In New York, the Senators made their first of two trips to The Garden to take on the Rangers and in the first Drake Batherson his 18th on the Ottawa power play and then Nick Jensen scored his third to put the Senators up 2-0.  Then, Brady Tkachuk scored his ninth as Ottawa went up 3-0 and then the lead grew to 4-0 when Dylan Cozens got his 13th of the year.  In the second, Jake Sanderson’s ninth of the year made it a 5-0 Ottawa lead and then Thomas Chabot scored his fifth of the year as the Sens went up 6-0.  Then, New York finally got on the board when Gabe Perreault scored his second of the year.  In the third, Gabe Perreault scored his second of the night to bring New York within four but David Perron scored his ninth to put Ottawa back up five.  Noah Laba then scored his sixth on the New York power play to bring New York with four once more and then Alexis Lafrenière scored his 10th to bring the Rangers with three.  Then, Tim Stützle scored his 20th with an empty net goal as the Senators doubled up the Rangers 8-4.
