- The NHL announced that they have named Vegas Golden Knights forward Tomas Hertl First Star of the Week.
- John Gibson (DET) and David Pastrnak (BOS) would round out the rest of the Three Stars.
- In the PWHL, it was announced that Ottawa Charge F Brianne Jenner was named the PWHL Player of the Week.
- In the two games played Jenner last week, there were two goals scored, including the game winner over Vancouver.
- The Ottawa Senators signed goaltender James Reimer to a one year deal.
- The contract will carry a pro-rated AAV of $850,000.
- The Columbus Blue Jackets fired Head Coach Dave Evason.
- Rick Bowness would then be announced as the 12th Head Coach in franchise history.
- The NHL and Buffalo Sabres announced that the 2026 NHL Draft will take place at KeyBank Arena on June 26 and 27.
- This marks the fourth time that Buffalo has hosted the Draft with the last time taking place in 2016.
- Before the Detroit Red Wings tilt against the Carolina Panthers, the team retired Sergei Fedorov’s #91 to the rafters of Little Caesar’s Arena.
- Fedorov scored 400 goals and had 554 assists in 908 games played.
- Fedorov was a key member of the Russian Five that defected from the Soviet Union to play with the Detroit Red Wings.

Florida Panthers v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET
- In Buffalo, the Sabres hosted the Panthers and in the first Sam Reinhart’s power play goal, his 24th goal on the year, put Florida up on the board but then Jacob Bryson scored his second of the year as the Sabres tied the game. Then, A.J. Greer netted his eighth of the year as Florida re-took the lead. In the second, Zach Benson netted his fifth as Buffalo tied the game once more. In the third, Anton Lundell’s 14th put Florida back in the lead and then A.J. Greer scored his second of the night with an empty netter to put Florida up two. Then, Alex Tuch scored his 15th of the year but the Panthers held on as they went on to defeat the Sabres 4-3.
Carolina Hurricanes v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET
- In Detroit, on the night where Sergei Fedorov’s number was retired, the Red Wings hosted the Hurricanes and in the first Detroit took the 1-0 lead when James van Riemsdyk scored a power play goal, his 12th goal of the year. In the second, Detroit took the 2-0 lead with Alex DeBrincat’s 24th and then Albert Johansson scored his first goal of the year as the Red Wings took the 3-0 lead. In the third, Carolina got on the board with a power play goal from Jackson Blake, his 14th of the year, and then a shorthanded goal would be scored by Seth Jarvis, his 21st goal on the year, to bring Carolina within a goal. Then, Shayne Gostisbehere netted his sixth as the Canes tied the game 3-3. In overtime, Andrew Copp scored the game winner, his eighth goal of the year, as the Red Wings got the 4-3 win over the Hurricanes.
Seattle Kraken v. New York Rangers – 7p ET
- In New York City, the Rangers hosted the Kraken and in the first Mika Zibanejad netted his 18th to put the Blueshirts up 1-0 and then Sam Carrick scored his second to put New York up 2-0. In the second, Eeli Tolvanen scored his eighth to put Seattle on the board and then Jordan Eberle netted his 16th to make it at tie game at 2-2. In the third, Seattle took the lead when Shane Wright scored eighth and then Jared McCann hit the empty net as the Kraken got the 4-2 win over the Rangers.
Tampa Bay Lightning v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET
- In Philadelphia, the Flyers looked to stop a Lightning storm from happening in the City of Brotherly Love. In the first, Tampa Bay went up 1-0 when Pontus Holmberg scored his seventh. In the second, Jake Guentzel scored his 20th to put the Bolts up 2-0 and then Brayden Point’s 11th of the year on a Tampa power play gave the Lightning the 3-0 lead. Then, Christian Dvorak scored his 10th to put Philadelphia on the board but then Brandon Hagel scored his 22nd on the Tampa Bay power play as the Bolts took the three goal lead. In the third, Nikita Kucherov scored his 23rd with an empty netter as the Lightning got the 5-1 win over the Flyers.
Vancouver Canucks v. Montreal Canadiens – 730p ET
- In Montréal, the Canadiens hosted the Canucks in a Canadian match-up and in the first Elias Pettersson scored his 12th to put Vancouver up 1-0 but then Noah Dobson’s ninth on the Montréal power play tied the game for the Habs. In the second, Vancouver re-took the lead with his seventh but then Alexandre Carrier scored a pair of goals to put the Canadiens up 3-2. Then, Max Sasson scored his ninth as Vancouver tied the game 3-3. In the third, Montréal re-took the lead when Mike Matheson scored his fifth and then the Habs went up 5-3 with Juraj Slafkovský’s 17th of the year. Then, Oliver Kapanen’s 16th of the year gave the Canadiens the 6-3 win over the Canucks.
New Jersey Devils v. Minnesota Wild – 8p ET
- In Minnesota, the Wild hosted the Devils and in the first New Jersey got on the board when Dawson Mercer scored his 12th of the year. In the second, Minnesota tied the game with Ryan Hartman’s 12th of the year but then Ondrej Palat scored his third to put the Devils up 2-1. In the third, Jesper Bratt scored a pair of goals to put New Jersey up 4-1 and then Ondrej Palat scored his second of the night as New Jersey went up 5-1. Then, Marcus Foligno scored a Minnesota power play goal, his second goal of the year, but the Devils got the 5-2 win over the Wild.
Edmonton Oilers v. Chicago Blackhawks – 830p ET
- In Chicago, the Oilers visited the Windy City to take on the Blackhawks and in the first Edmonton took the 1-0 lead with Zach Hyman’s 14th of the year. In the second, Evan Bouchard scored his 10th of the year as the Oilers took the 2-0 lead. In the third, Tyler Bertuzzi scored his 24th to put Chicago on the board but then Edmonton re-took the two goal lead when Evan Bouchard scored his second of the night. Then, Leon Draisaitl scored the game winner as the Oilers downed the Blackhawks 4-1.
