- The NHL and Utah Mammoth announced that the 2027 NHL Winter Classic will take place at Rice-Eccles Stadium on the campus of the University of Utah.
- The Utah Mammoth will take on the Colorado Avalanche.

Seattle Torrent v. Boston Fleet – 7p ET (PWHL)
- In Boston, the Fleet hosted the Torrent and in the first Jamie Lee Rattray scored her second to put Boston up 1-0. After a scoreless second, Megan Keller’s fourth put the Boston up 2-0 but then Hannah Bilka got her third to put Seattle on the board. However, a Seattle comeback falls short as the Fleet held on to defeat the Torrent 2-1.
Dallas Stars v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
- In Washington, the Stars make the annual visit to the Nation’s Capitol to take on the Capitals. In the first, Dallas took the 1-0 lead when Radek Faksa scored a shorthanded goal, his second goal of the year. In the second, Sam Steel scored his seventh of the year to put Dallas up 2-0. In the third, Wyatt Johnston scored his 24th but then Alex Ovechkin scored his 18th as Washington got on the board. Then, Roope Hintz scored an empty netter, his 13th goal on the year, as the Stars defeated the Capitals 4-1.
Calgary Flames v. Montreal Canadiens – 730p ET
- In Montréal, the Canadiens hosted the Flames in a battle of Canada and following a scoreless first, Alexandre Texier scored his fourth to put the Canadiens up 1-0 and then Lane Hutson’s eighth to put Montréal up 2-0. Then, Oliver Kapanen got is 14th as the Habs went up 3-0 but then Joel Farabee’s 10th got Calgary on the board. In the third, Cole Caufield scored his 21st as the Canadiens doused the Flames 4-1.
