    • Slovakia defeated Germany 4-1.
    • Canada defeated Latvia 2-1 in Overtime.
    • United States defeated Switzerland 2-1.
    • Czechia defeated Denmark 7-2.

Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Boston Fleet v. Ottawa Charge – 12p ET (PWHL)

  • In Ottawa, the Charge would play host to the Boston Fleet as the PWHL returns from the Holiday Break, and in the first period, Stephanie Markowski would score her first of the season to give the Charge the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Olivia Mobley would score to tie the game and Haley Winn would score her first career PWHL goal for the Fleet to take the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period, Fanuza Kadirova would score to tie the game at two for the Charge to force overtime. Then after a scoreless five minutes of extra hockey, it would be Brianne Jenner with the shootout winner to give the Charge the 3-2 victory over the Fleet.

Toronto Sceptres v. Montreal Victoire – 2p ET (PWHL)

  • In Montreal, the Victoire would play host to the Toronto Sceptres, and in the first period, Jesse Compher would score to give the Sceptres the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Abby Roque would score to tie the game at one for the Victoire, but Daryl Watts would score to retake the lead for the Sceptres. Then, it would be a scoreless third period as the Sceptres would hold on to defeat the Victoire 2-1.

Minnesota Frost v. Vancouver Goldeneyes – 3p ET (PWHL)

  • At Rogers Place in Edmonton, the PWHL Takeover Tour would continue as the Vancouver Goldeneyes would play host to the Minnesota Frost. In the first period, Abby Hustler would open the scoring for the Frost with her first career PWHL goal, but Izzy Daniel would score to tie the game at one for the Goldeneyes. Then after a scoreless second and third period, Taylor Heise would score her first of the season to give the Frost the 2-1 overtime victory over the Goldeneyes.

New York Rangers v. New York Islanders – 6p ET

  • On Long Island, the New York Islanders would play host to the New York Rangers in a Battle of New York, and in the first period, Anders Lee would score to give the Islanders the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period, Simon Holmstrom would score an empty netter to give the Islanders the 2-0 victory over the Rangers. David Rittich would stop all 26 shots faced to earn the shutout for the Islanders.

Boston Bruins v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET

  • In Buffalo, the Sabres would play host to the Boston Bruins, and in the first period, David Pastrnak would score his 15th of the season to give the Bruins the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Ryan McLeod, Peyton Krebs, and Mattias Samuelsson would score to give the Sabres the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period, Josh Norris would score on the empty net to give the Sabres the 4-1 victory over the Bruins.

Ottawa Senators v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET

  • In Toronto for the Battle of Ontario, the Ottawa Senators would visit the Maple Leafs, and in the first period, William Nylander and Matthew Knies would both score on the powerplay to give the Leafs the 2-0 lead, but Nick Cousins would score to get the Senators on the board and back within one. In the second period, Ridly Greig would score to tie the game at two for the Senators, but goals from Bobby McMann, Auston Matthews, and Nicolas Robertson would give the Leafs the commanding 5-2 lead. Then in the third period, Drake Batherson and Tim Stutzle would score to get the Senators back within one, but Knies would net his second of the game to get the Leafs ahead by two once again. Jordan Spence would score to get the Senators back within one again for the Senators, but an empty netter by John Tavares would give the Maple Leafs the 7-5 victory over the Senators.

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET

  • In Florida, the Panthers would play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning in another edition of the Battle of Florida, and in the first period, Eetu Luostarinen would open the scoring for the Panthers, but a shorthanded goal by Jake Guentzel and a tally from Pontus Holmberg would give the Lightning the 2-1 lead. In the second period, Nikita Kucherov would score to give the Lightning the two goal lead, but Brad Marchand would score on the powerplay to get the Panthers back within one. Then in the third period, Kucherov would net his second of the game with the empty netter to give the Lightning the 4-2 victory over the Panthers in another highly heated affair between the two teams.

Washington Capitals v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET

  • In New Jersey, the Washington Capitals would come to town to battle the Devils in a Metropolitan Division matchup, and in the first period, Aliaksei Protas would score with 0.4 seconds left in the period to give the Capitals the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Jesper Bratt would score on the powerplay to tie the game at one for the Devils, but Anthony Beauvillier would score late to retake the lead for the Capitals. Then in the third period, Bratt would net his second of the game and Cody Glass would score 32 seconds apart to give the Devils the 3-2 lead, but Alex Ovechkin’s 15th of the season would tie the game at three for the Capitals to force overtime. In the extra frame, Jakob Chychrun would score with 54 seconds left to give the Capitals the 4-3 overtime victory over the Devils.

Detroit Red Wings v. Carolina Hurricanes – 7p ET

  • In Carolina, the Detroit Red Wings would battle the Hurricanes, and in the first period, Michael Rasmussen would score to give the Wings the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Jackson Blake, Eric Robinson, and Shayne Gostisbehere would score to give the Hurricanes the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period, Andrew Copp would score on the powerplay for the Wingsto get get back within one, but goals from Andrei Svechnikov and Jordan Martinook (ENG) would give the Hurricanes the 5-2 victory over the Red Wings.

Minnesota Wild v. Winnipeg Jets – 7p ET

  • In Winnipeg, the Jets would play host to the Minnesota Wild, and in the first period, Josh Morrissey would open the scoring the give the Jets the 1-0 lead, but Matt Boldy would score to tie the game at one for the Wild. In the second period, Kirill Kaprizov would score to take the 2-1 lead for the Wild, but goals from Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele would give the Jets the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period, Mats Zuccarello would score on the powerplay to tie the game at three for the Wild to force overtime. In the extra frame, Boldy would net his second of the game to give the Wild the 4-3 overtime victory over the Jets.

Nashville Predators v. St. Louis Blues – 8p ET

  • In St. Louis, the Nashville Predators would come to town to battle the Blues, and in the first period, Brayden Schenn would score on the powerplay to give the Blues the 1-0 lead, but Tyson Jost would score to tie the game at one for the Predators. However, Pavel Buchnevich would score to give the Blues the 2-1 lead. Then after a scoreless second period, Buchnevich would score his second of the game for the Blues, and while Fedor Svechkov would score shorthanded for the Predators, the Blues would hold on to win 3-2.

Chicago Blackhawks v. Dallas Stars – 8p ET

  • In Dallas, the Chicago Blackhawks would come to town to battle the Stars, and in the first period, Tyler Bertuzzi would score to give the Blackhawks the 1-0 lead, but Nils Lundkvist would score to tie the game at one for the Stars. In the second period, Jason Dickinson would score to retake the lead for the Blackhawks, but Justin Hryckowian would score to tie the game for the Stars. Then in the third period, Mikko Rantanen would score his 15th of the season to give the Stars their first lead of the game, but Bertuzzi’s second of the game would send the game to overtime tied at three for the Blackhawks. After a scoreless extra five minutes of hockey, it would be Nick Lardis with the shootout winner to give the Blackhawks the 4-3 victory over the Stars.
