Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps
Edmonton Oilers v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
- In Beantown, the Bruins welcomed the Oilers back to Boston and in the first Ryan Nugent-Hopkins netted his eighth on the Edmonton man advantage but then Pavel Zacha netted a power play goal of his own as Boston evened the score. In the second, Quinn Hutson scored his first career goal to out Edmonton back in the lead. In the third, Connor McDavid scored his 21st on the power play as the Oilers defeated the Bruins 3-1.
Chicago Blackhawks v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
- In Montréal, the Canadiens hosted the Blackhawks once again in an Original Six match-up. In the first, Chicago got on the board when Frank Nazar netted his sixth but then Zachary Bolduc’s eighth tied the game for the Canadiens. After a scoreless second, Zachary Bolduc netted his second goal of the night to put Montréal in the lead and then Noah Dobson scored his fifth of the year to put the Canadiens up a pair. Then, Nick Suzuki hits the empty net for his 10th of the year as the Canadiens score four unanswered and defeat the Blackhawks 4-1.
Pittsburgh Penguins v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
- In the Canadian capital, the Senators hosted the Penguins and in the first Ottawa took the 1-0 lead when Brady Tkachuk scored on the power play, his third goal of the year. In the second, David Perron scored his fifth to put the Sens up 2-0 and then Claude Giroux netted his sixth as Ottawa went up 3-0. In the third, Brady Tkachuk scored his second of the night as the Senators shutout the Penguins 4-0.
Los Angeles Kings v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 7p ET
- In Tampa Bay, the Lightning hosted the Kings and in the first Oliver Bjorkstrand scored his fifth on the Tampa Bay man advantage to put the Bolts up 1-0. In the second, Adrian Kempe netted a pair as the Kings downed the Lightning 2-1 following the scoreless third period.
Toronto Maple Leafs v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
- In Washington, the Capitals welcomed the Maple Leafs back to the Nation’s Capital and in the first Aliaksei Protas notched his 11th of the year to put Washington up 1-0 and then Jakob Chychrun got his 13th as the Capitals took the 2-0 lead. After a scoreless second, Jakob Chychrun scored his second of the night to put Washington up 3-0 and then John Carlson scored his seventh as the Capitals shutout the Maple Leafs 4-0.
Minnesota Wild v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p ET
- In Columbus, the Blue Jackets welcomed the Wild and in the first, Columbus took the 1-0 lead when Zach Werenski scored his 12th of the year to tie the game for Minnesota. Then, Vladimir Tarasenko netted his sixth of the year to put the Wild up 2-1 but then the score is evened when Zach Werenksi scored his second of the night. In the third, Minnesota re-took the lead with Joel Eriksson Ek’s eighth of the year and then Kirill Kaprizov scored his 22nd with an empty netter to put Minnesota up a pair. Then, Matt Boldy scored his own empty netter, his 20th goal on the year, as the Wild defeated the Blue Jackets 5-2.
Philadelphia Flyers v. Buffalo Sabres – 730p ET
- In Buffalo, the Sabres welcomed the Flyers back to Western New York and in the first Jack Quinn scored his seventh as the Sabres took the 1-0 lead but then Noah Cates’ eighth of the year tied the game for Philadelphia. In the second, Cam York scored his second to put the Flyers up 2-1 but then Tage Thompson got his 17th to tie the game for Buffalo. Noah Ostlund then scored his fifth of the year as the Sabres re-took the lead. In the third, Josh Norris scored a power play goal, his third of the year, to out Buffalo up a pair but then Travis Konecny netted his 10th to bring Philadelphia within a goal. Ryan McLeod then scored an empty net goal, his sixth goal of the year, as the Sabres escaped with the 5-3 win over the Flyers.
New York Rangers v. St. Louis Blues – 8p ET
- In St. Louis, the Blues hosted the Rangers and in the first Jonathan Berggren scored his third of the year, but his first as a member of the St. Louis organisation, to give St. Louis the 1-0 lead. In the second, Gabe Perrault scored a power play goal, good for his first career NHL goal, to tie the game for the Blueshirts. Following the scoreless third, J.T. Miller scored his 10th as the Rangers downed the Blues 2-1.
