New York Rangers v. Chicago Blackhawks – 730p ET
- In an Original Six in Chicago, the Blackhawks and Rangers faced off in a special color versus color match-up. After a scoreless first, Chicago got on the board with a shorthanded goal from Louis Crevier, his third goal on the year, and then Connor Bedard netted his 19th, giving the Blackhawks the 2-0 lead. In the third, Tyler Bertuzzi struck with his 16th as the Blackhawks shutout the Rangers 3-0.
Detroit Red Wings v. Calgary Flames – 830p ET
- In Calgary, the Flames hosted the Red Wings at the Saddledome. In the first, Alex DeBrincat netted his 15th as Detroit took the 1-0 lead and then Axel Sandin-Pellikka’s third put the Red Wings up 2-0. In the second, Alex DeBrincat scored his second of the night to put Detroit up 3-0 and then Dylan Larkin scored his 17th as the Red Wings went up 4-0. In the third, Calgary gets on the board when Joel Farabee gets his ninth of the year on a penalty shot and then Matt Coronato got his 10th to bring the Flames within two. MacKenzie Weegar then scored his second of the year but Calgary’s comeback falls short as the Red Wings escape with the 4-3 win over the Flames.
