- The Tampa Bay Lightning announced that they have re-signed defenseman Ryan McDonagh.
- McDonagh would sign a three year extension that carries an AAV of $4.1 million per season.

St. Louis Blues v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
- In Boston, the Bruins hosted the Blues and in the first Boston went up 1-0 when Alex Steeves scored his sixth of the year and then the B’s took the 2-0 lead when Morgan Geekie netted his 21st. In the second, Pavel Buchnevich got his fourth of the year to put St. Louis on the board but then Viktor Arvidsson’s seventh of the year gave Boston the 3-1 lead. Pavel Zacha then went on to score a pair of goals, the second being on the Boston power play, to put the Bruins up 5-1. In the third, Pius Suter scored his seventh of the year but the Bruins stood pat as they defeated the Blues 5-2.
New York Rangers v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
- In Ottawa, the Rangers visited the Canadian capital to take on the Senators. In the first, New York took the 1-0 lead when Mika Zibanejad scored his 10th and then Vladislav Gavrikov struck with his sixth to put the Blueshirts up 2-0. Then, Ottawa got on the board when Dylan Cozens got his ninth on the Sens man advantage. In the second, New York re-took the two goal lead when Will Borgen got his second of the year. In the third, Ottawa came within a goal once more when Drake Batherson netted his 10th on the Sens power play, but then Artemi Panarin scored his an empty netter, his ninth goal of the year, as the Rangers doubled up the Senators 4-2.
Pittsburgh Penguins v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 7p ET
- In Tampa Bay, the Lightning welcomed the Penguins and in the first Pittsburgh took the 1-0 lead when Ville Koivunen scored his first career NHL goal. In the second, Evgeni Malkin netted his seventh to put the Pens up 2-0 and then Ben Kindel scored a power play goal, his seventh goal of the year, as Pittsburgh went up 3-0. Then, Tampa Bay got on the board when Nikita Kucherov scored his 12th of the year. In the third, Brandon Hagel netted a pair of goals, the first on the Tampa power play, to even the score but then Evgeni Malkin netted the game winner, his eighth goal on the season, as the Penguins took down the Lightning 4-3.
Ottawa Charge v. Toronto Sceptres – 7p ET (PWHL)
- In the PWHL, the Charge and Sceptres faced off for the first time in the young PWHL season and in the first Fanuza Kadirova scored her first career PWHL goal to put Ottawa up 1-0. In the second, Daryl Watts scored her first goal of the year on the Sceptres power play to tie the game for Toronto and then Natalie Spooner scored her first goal of the season as the Sceptres took the 2-1 lead. In the third, Blayre Turnbull got her second of the year as the Sceptres scored three unanswered to defeat the Charge 3-1.
Nashville Predators v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET
- In Florida, the Panthers and Predators faced off for the final time on the year and in the first Florida took the 1-0 lead when Carter Verhaeghe netted his fifth. After a scoreless second, Nashville got on the board when Ryan O’Reilly scored his ninth. In overtime, Steven Stamkos scored his eighth as the Predators downed the Panthers 2-1.
Colorado Avalanche v. New York Islanders – 7p ET
- In Long Island, the Islanders hosted the Avalanche and in the first New York took the 1-0 lead with Kyle MacLean’s first of the year and then Andres Lee scored his sixth to put the Isles up 2-0. In the second, Bo Horvat netted his 17th as New York took the 3-0 lead and then Adam Pelech’s first of the year put the Isles up 4-0. Then, Valeri Nichushkin scored his sixth to put the Avs on the board and then Martin Necas scored his 14th to bring Colorado within two. Mathew Barzal scored his eighth on the New York power play as the Islanders re-took the three goal lead. In the third, Artturi Lehkonen scored his 10th to bring Colorado within two once more but then Casey Cizikas scored an empty netter as the Islanders stopped the Avalanche 6-3.
Detroit Red Wings v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p ET
- In Columbus, the Blue Jackets welcomed the Red Wings and in the first Ivan Provorov scored his fourth as Columbus took the 1-0 lead. In the second, Dylan Larkin scored a power play goal, his 15th goal of the year, but then Kirill Marchenko netted a power play goal of his own, his ninth goal, as Columbus re-took the lead. Then, Kent Johnson scored his third of the year as the Blue Jackets took the two goal lead but then Lucas Raymond netted his 10th of the year on a Detroit power play. Then, James van Riemsdyk scored a power play goal of his own, his fifth of the year, as the Red Wings evened the score but then Adam Fantilli scored his own power play goal, his 10th on the year, as Columbus re-took the lead. In the third, Patrick Kane scored his fourth as Detroit pulled even once more and then Alex DeBrincat’s 14th gave the Red Wings the lead for the first time on the evening. Then, Adam Fantilli went on to score his second goal on the evening as Columbus pulled even with the Red Wings. After a scoreless overtime session, the game moved to the shootout where Kirill Marchenko scored the game winner as the Blue Jackets got the 6-5 win over the Red Wings.
Toronto Maple Leafs v. Carolina Hurricanes – 730p ET
- IN Raleigh, the Hurricanes hosted the Maple Leafs and in the first Toronto took the 1-0 lead when Bobby McMann netted his seventh and then Scott Laughton’s second goal gave the Maple Leafs the 2-0 lead. Seth Jarvis then scored his 16th as Carolina got on the board. In the second, Matthew Knies netted his seventh to put Toronto back up two and then Auston Matthews netted his 11th to put the Leafs up three. In the third, Bobby McMann scored an empty netter, his second goal of the night, as the Maple Leafs stormed by the Hurricanes 5-1.
