- Larry Brooks, New York Post legend and Hall of Fame hockey writer, has passed away. Brooks was 75.
- The Colorado Avalanche announced that they have re-signed goaltender Scott Wedgewood.
- Wedgewood would sign a one year deal with an AAV of $2.5 million.
- The Ottawa Senators announced that they have re-signed forward Shane Pinto.
- Pinto signed a 4 year deal that carries an AAV of $7.5 million per season.
- The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed forward David Kampf on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract.
- Per Elliotte Friedman, Kampf will not need to return his signing bonus.

Los Angeles Kings v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET
- In Toronto, the Maple Leafs hosted the Kings and in the first Toronto went up 1-0 with Bobby McCann’s fifth of the year and then John Tavares’ 10th put the Leafs up 2-0. In the second, Warren Foegele’s thrid of the year put the Kings on the board and then Kevin Fiala got his ninth as the Kings evened the score. Then, John Tavares got his 11th on the year to put Toronto back in lead. In the third, Alex Laferriere scored his fourth on the year tied the game for the Kings. In overtime, Quinton Byfield scored the game winner, his fourth, as the Kings downed the Maple Leafs 4-3.
Dallas Stars v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
- In Montréal, the Canadiens faced off against the Stars and in the first Dallas took the 1-0 lead with Wyatt Johnston’s 11th on the year, this one being on the Stars man-advantage. In the second, Esa Lindell got his second of the year to put Dallas up 2-0 and then Tyler Seguin’s sixth of the year increased the Stars lead to three. Then, Jason Robertson netted a pair of goal to increase Dallas’ lead to 5-0. In the third, Alexander Petrovic netted his first on the year as Dallas went up 6-0 and then Colin Blackwell’s first on the year sealed the game as the Stars beat down the Canadiens 7-0.
Boston Bruins v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
- In the Canadian capital, the Senators hosted the Sabres in a divisional match-up and in the first Ottawa took the early 1-0 lead with a power play goal from Claude Giroux, his fourth goal on the year, and then Dylan Cozens scored his seventh as the Sens took the 2-0 lead. In the second, Boston got on the board when Morgan Geekie scored his 12th of the year. In the third, Shane Pinto scored his ninth to put Ottawa back up two but then a man-advantage goal from David Pastrnak, his 11th, put the Bruins back within a goal. Mark Kastelic’s fourth of the year then evened the score for the B’s but then Tim Stützle scored his ninth on the year to put Ottawa back in front. Then, Tim Stützle hit the empty net as the Senators downed the Bruins 5-3.
Anaheim Ducks v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET
- In the Motor City, the Red Wings and Ducks face off for the final time on the year and following a scoreless first, Moritz Seider scored a power play goal, his second, to put Detroit up 1-0 but then Cutter Gauthier got his 12th to put Anaheim on the board. Michael Rasmussen then struck with his second to put the Wings back in the lead but then the Ducks annswered when Chris Kreider scored his 10th of the year to make it a 2-2 game. Then, Axel Sandin-Pellikka scored his second to put Detroit back in the lead. In the third, Alex DeBrincat scored his fifth on the man-advantage to put the Red Wings up 4-2 but then Mikael Granlund’s third of the year brought the Ducks within a goal. Dylan Larkin then scored his 10th to put Detroit back up two and then Alex DeBrincat scored an empty netter, his second goal of the night as the Red Wings doubled up the Ducks 6-3.
Washington Capitals v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET
- In South Florida, the Panthers hosted the Capitals for their first match-up of the year and in the first Washington went up 1-0 when Brandon Duhaime scored his third but then Evan Rodrigues evened the score with his fourth. In the second, Florida went up 2-1 when Cole Schwindt got his second and then Sam Reinhart’s power play goal, his ninth of the year, put the Panthers up 3-1. In the third, Justin Sourdif’s second brought the Caps within a goal but then Sam Reinhart’s second of the year put the Cats back two. Seth Jones then got his first of the year on a Florida power play as the Panthers lead increased to three but then Rasmus Sandin scored his second as Washington came within two. Then, Eetu Luostarinen’s empty net goal, his third on the year, gave the Panthers the 6-3 win over the Capitals.
Edmonton Oilers v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 730p ET
- In Columbus, the Oilers and Blue Jackets had their final match-up of the season and in the first Columbus took the 1-0 lead when Mathieu Olivier scored his second of the year. In the second, Charlie Coyle scored his third of the year as the Jackets took the 2-0 lead but then Edmonton got on the board when Matt Savoie got his second of the year. Then, Leon Draisaitl scored his 11th as Edmonton tied the game but then Denton Mateychuk’s fourth of the year put Columbus back in the lead. Adam Fantilli then went on to score his fifth as the Blue Jackets went up 4-2. In the third, Mathieu Olivier’s second of the night gave Columbus the three goal lead but then Vasily Podkolzin netted his third of the year to bring the Oilers within two. Leon Draisaitl then scored his second of the game but the night would fall Edmonton’s way as the Blue Jackets escape with the 5-4 win over the Oilers.
