Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Chicago Blackhawks v. Detroit Red Wings – 1p ET

  • In Detroit for an Original Six matchup, the Red Wings would play host to the Chicago Blackhawks, and in the first period, Connor Bedard would score on the powerplay to give the Blackhawks the 1-0 lead, but Dylan Larkin would score for the Red Wings to tie the game at one. In the second period, Teuvo Teravainen would score on the powerplay to give the Blackhawks the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period, Tyler Bertuzzi would score on the powerplay, Andre Burakovsky would score an empty netter, and Oliver Moore would score his first career NHL goal to give the Blackhawks the 5-1 victory over the Red Wings.

Los Angeles Kings v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 2p ET

  • In Pittsburgh, Anze Kopitar would make his final appearance in the Steel City as the Los Angeles Kings would visit Sidney Crosby and the Penguins, and in the first period Tommy Novak would open the scoring for the Penguins, but Kopitar’s powerplay tally would tie the game at one for the Kings. In the second period, Anthony Mantha would score on the powerplay to give the Penguins the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period, Corey Perry would score his seventh of the season to tie the game at two for the Kings, and then later in the period, Kevin Fiala would score to give the Kings the 3-2 victory over the Penguins.

Carolina Hurricanes v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET

  • In Toronto, the Carolina Hurricanes would come to town to face off with the Maple Leafs for the Hall of Fame Game, and in the first period, it would be a wild one as William Nylander would open the scoring 5 minutes into the game for the Leafs, but goals from Sebastian Aho (PPG) and Seth Jarvis would give the Hurricanes the 2-1 lead. However, a minute after the Hurricanes took the lead, John Tavares would score to tie the game at two and then Nylander would score on the powerplay for his second of the game to give the Leafs the 3-2 lead. In the second period, Auston Matthews would score to give the Leafs the 4-2 lead, but Sean Walker would strike for the Hurricanes to get back within one. Then in the third period, Taylor Hall and Logan Stankoven would score to give the Hurricanes the 5-4 victory over the Maple Leafs.

Utah Mammoth v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET

  • In Ottawa, the Utah Mammoth would come to town to face off with the Senators, and in the first period, Ridly Greig would score to give the Senators the 1-0 lead, but Clayton Keller would score to tie the game at one for the Mammoth. In the second period, Jordan Spence scored his first goal as a Senator and Nick Cousins scored to give the Senators the 3-1 lead, but Nick Schmaltz would score to get the Mammoth back within one. Then in the third period, Thomas Chabot would score to give the Senators the 4-2 victory over the Mammoth.

Seattle Kraken v. Dallas Stars – 7p ET

  • In Dallas, the Stars would play host to the Seattle Kraken, and in the first period, Jaden Schwartz would score to give the Kraken the 1-0 lead, but goals from Wyatt Johnston (PPG) and Tyler Seguin would give the Stars the 2-1 lead. Then after a scoreless second and third period, the Stars would hold on for the 2-1 victory over the Kraken.

Calgary Flames v. Minnesota Wild – 8p ET

  • In Minnesota, the Wild would play host to the Calgary Flames, and after a scoreless first period, Matt Boldy would score to give the Wild the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period, Kirill Kaprizov would score an empty netter for his 10th of the season to give the Wild the 2-0 victory over the Flames. Jesper Wallstedt would stop all 36 shots faced to earn his first shutout of the season for the Wild.
