- The Washington Capitals announced that they have re-assigned forward Spencer Smallman to Hershey of the AHL.
- The Capitals also reactivated forward Ethen Frank off of IR.
- The Carolina Hurricanes claimed goaltender Cayden Primeau off of waivers from Toronto.
- The Hurricanes loaned Primeau to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
- The Hurricanes were able to send Primeau to the AHL due to them putting in the only waiver claim, and also because they were reclaiming him from Toronto who claimed him off of waivers from Carolina before the season started.
- The Hurricanes loaned Primeau to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.

Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps
Pittsburgh Penguins v. New Jersey Devils – 1230p ET
- In New Jersey for an early afternoon matinee, the Devils would play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and in the first period, Arseny Gritsyuk would score to give the Devils the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Ryan Graves would score his first of the season to tie the game at one for the Penguins. Then after a scoreless third period and overtime period, Paul Cotter would score the shootout winner to give the Devils the 2-1 victory over the Penguins.
Ottawa Senators v. Philadelphia Flyers – 1p ET
- In Philadelphia, the Ottawa Senators would come to town to battle the Flyers, and in the first period, Tim Stützle and Michael Amadio would score to give the Senators the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Matvei Michkov would score to get the Flyers on the board and back within one. Then in the third period, Jamie Drysdale would score to tie the game at two for the Flyers to force overtime. In the extra frame, Stützle’s second of the game would end the Flyers comeback effort to give the Senators the 3-2 overtime victory.
Dallas Stars v. Nashville Predators – 330p ET
- In Nashville, the Predators would play host to the Dallas Stars, and in the first period, Mavrik Bourque would score to give the Stars the 1-0 lead, but Luke Evangelista would score to tie the game at one for the Predators. In the second period, Roope Hintz would score on the powerplay to retake the lead for the Stars, but goals from Nicolas Hague and Filip Forsberg would give the Predators the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period, Justin Hryckowian would score to tie the game at three for the Stars, but Steven Stamkos would score while on the powerplay to give the Predators the 4-3 lead. However, Adam Erne and Sam Steel would score to give the Stars the 5-4 victory over the Predators.
Boston Bruins v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET
- In Toronto, in an Original Six matchup took place with the Maple Leafs hosting the Bruins. In the first, Toronto took the 1-0 lead with a power play goal from Nicolas Robertson, his fourth, but then Morgan Geekie scored his 11th to tie the game for Boston. Then, Viktor Arvidsson scored his fifth as the B’s took the lead but then Matias Maccelli scored his fourth to tie the game for Toronto. In the second, Michael Eyssimont got his fourth on a Boston power ply and then David Pastrnak scored his eighth as the Bruins took the two goal lead. However, Toronto made it a one goal game when John Tavares scored his eighth on the power play. In the third, Fraser Minten scored his third on the year as the Bruins down the Maple Leafs 5-3.
Utah Mammoth v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
- In Montréal, the Canadiens hosted the Mammoth and in the first Utah took the 1-0 lead with Kailer Yamamoto’s second of the year but then the Habs tied the contest when Oliver Kapanen scored his sixth. In the second, Lawson Crouse scored his third to give the Mammoth the lead back but then Montréal got a pair when Cole Caufield scored his 11th and Alex Newhook scored his sixth to give the Canadiens the 3-2 lead. In the third, Cole Caufield’s second of the night gave Montréal the 4-2 lead and then the Habs lead grew to three with Nick Suzuki’s fourth of the year. Kirby Dach then put the end to the night with his fifth of the year as the Canadiens breezed by the Mammoth for the 6-2 victory.
Washington Capitals v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 7p ET
- In Tampa, the Lightning hosted the Capitals and in the first Washington took the 1-0 lead when Brandon Duhaime scored his first on the year but then Emil Lilleberg scored his first of the year as Tampa evened the score. Jake Guentzel then scored his sixth on the Lightning power play to give Tampa Bay the lead. In the second, John Carlson was credited with the score when the Bolts scored on their own net as the Caps evened the score. In the third, Brandon Hagel scored his seventh as the Lightning struck down the Capitals for the 3-2 win.
New York Islanders v. New York Rangers – 7p ET
- In New York City, the Rangers hosted the Islanders in a key division rivalry matchup and in the first the Isles took the 1-0 lead when Bo Horvat scored his 10th and then Jonathan Drouin scored his second to make it a 2-0 Islanders lead. In the second, Bo Horvat scored his second of the night, this time on the power play, as the Isles took the 3-0 lead. In the third, Jean-Gabriel Pageau’s empty netter, his fifth goal of the year, gave the Isles the 4-0 lead and then Andres Lee sealed the game with his third of the year as the Islanders shutout the Rangers 5-0.
Buffalo Sabres v. Carolina Hurricanes – 7p ET
- In Raleigh, the Hurricanes hosted the Sabres and in the first Carolina took the 1-0 lead when Sebastian Aho scored his fifth but then Owen Power got his second as the Sabres evened the score. In the second, the Canes got a pair when Andrei Svechnikov scored on the man-advantage, his fourth goal on the year, and then Jesperi Kotkaniemi netted his second as Carolina took the 3-1 lead. In the third, Eric Robinson struck with his fourth as the Hurricanes took the three goal lead but then Alex Tuch got his sixth as the Sabres got within two. Then, Buffalo came within a goal with Tage Thompson’s sixth but Seth Jarvis scored an empty netter, his ninth of the season, to give Carolina the two goal lead. Then, Charles Alexis Legault scored his first career NHL goal, an empty netter, as the Hurricanes double up the Sabres 6-3.
Seattle Kraken v. St. Louis Blues – 7p ET
- In St. Louis, the Blues hosted the Kraken and in the first Dylan Holloway scored his third to give St. Louis the 1-0 lead and then the lead went to 2-0 with Dalibor Dvorsky’s power play goal, his second. In the second, Seattle got on the board when Ryker Evans got his first of the year and then Eeli Tolvanen’s power play goal, his first of the year, made it a 2-2 game. In the third, St. Louis re-took the lead with Jordan Kyrou’s fifth but Seattle tied the game once more when Chandler Stephenson scored his fourth. In overtime, Shane Wright scored the game winner, his fourth, as the Kraken got the 4-3 win over the Blues.
