- Miroshnichenko signed a two year deal that will carry an AAV of $925,000 per season.
- The New Jersey Devils announced that they have re-signed goaltender Jacob Markstrom.
- Markstrom signed a two year deal that will carry an AAV of $6 million per season.

- In Las Vegas for Nevada Day, the Golden Knights would rock their road whites as they host the Colorado Avalanche, and in the first period, Martin Necas would score to give the Avalanche the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Brock Nelson would score to grow Colorado’s lead to two. Then in the third period, Tomas Hertl (PPG) and Mitch Marner would score for the Knights, but Brent Burns’ first goal as an Avalanche and an empty netter by Cale Makar would give the Avalanche the 4-2 victory over the Golden Knights.
New York Islanders v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
- In DC for a Halloween matchup, the Washington Capitals would host their Metro Division rival New York Islanders, and after a scoreless first period, Tom Wilson would score for the Capitals, but a shorthanded tally by Jean-Gabriel Pageau would tie the game at one for the Islanders. Then in the third period, Bo Horvat would score early in the period, and then Mathew Barzal would get the empty netter late to give the Islanders the 3-1 victory over the Capitals.
