- The Colorado Avalanche announced the return of the Quebec Nordiques legendary jersey for their 30th Anniversary celebration.
- The Nordiques jersey is an exact replica of what the team wore before they moved from Quebec to Colorado in 1995.
- The Avalanche will wear them 7 times, including once on the road in Carolina.
- Following the announcement, the Carolina Hurricanes later also announced that they will be wearing their Hartford Whalers jerseys in both games against the Colorado Avalanche for a Quebec v. Hartford Heritage Series.
- In the PWHL, both the Vancouver and Seattle expansion franchises unveiled their new jerseys for their inaugural seasons.
- First, Vancouver unveiled their jerseys.
- Each sweater features ‘Vancouver’ stitched diagonally across the front, paying homage to the designs worn by the PWHL’s inaugural six teams in the league’s first season. PWHL Vancouver will officially reveal its team identity –– including name and logo –– prior to the season beginning, which will be incorporated into on-ice uniforms for the 2026-27 season.

New Jersey Devils v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET
- In Toronto, the New Jersey Devils would come to town to faceoff with the Maple Leafs, and in the first period, John Tavares would score to give the Leafs the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Jack Hughes, Cody Glass (PPG), and Brenden Dillon would score to give the Devils the 3-1 lead, but a tally from Mattias Maccelli would get the Leafs back within one. However, Hughes would net his second of the game to retake the two goal lead for the Devils. Then in the third period, Hughes would complete the hat trick with an empty netter to give the Devils the 5-2 victory over the Maple Leafs.
Edmonton Oilers v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
- In Ottawa, the Senators would play host to the Edmonton Oilers, and in the first period, Connor McDavid would score to give the Oilers the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Isaac Howard would score his first career NHL goal to give the Oilers the 2-0 lead. Then in the third period, Dylan Cozens and Thomas Chabot would score to tie the game at 2 for the Senators to force overtime. In the extra frame, Jake Walman would score on the powerplay to give the Oilers the 3-2 overtime victory over the Senators.
San Jose Sharks v. New York Islanders – 7p ET
- On Long Island, the New York Islanders would play host to the San Jose Sharks, and in the first period, Colin Graf would score first for the Sharks, but goals from Bo Horvat and Casey Cizikas would give the Islanders the 2-1 lead. However, Adam Guadette would score to tie the game at two for the Sharks, but a late powerplay goal from Emil Heineman would give the Islanders the lead back. In the second period Matthew Schaefer would score to grow the Islanders lead to two. Then in the third period, Macklin Celebrini would score for the Sharks, but it would not be enough as the Islanders would hold on to defeat the Sharks 4-3.
Vancouver Canucks v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET
- In Pittsburgh, the Vancouver Canucks would come to town to battle the Penguins, and in the first period, both teams would trade tallies as Conor Garland would strike for the Canucks while Colin Dewar would score for the Penguins for the 1-1 tie. In the second period, the Penguins would get goals from Tomas Novak (PPG), Sidney Crosby, and Anthony Mantha to take a commanding 4-1 lead. Then in the third period, Justin Brazeau would score on the powerplay to give the Penguins the 5-1 victory over the Canucks.
Seattle Kraken v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
- In Washington, the Capitals would take on the Seattle Kraken to finish their 4-game homestand, and in the first period, Nic Dowd would score to give the Capitals the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Ruan Leonard and Jakob Chychrun (PPG) would score to grow the Capitals lead to three. Then in the third period, Jaden Schwartz would score to get the Kraken on the board, but Tom Wilson’s empty netter would give the Capitals the 4-1 voctory over the Kraken.
Florida Panthers v. Boston Bruins – 730p ET
- In Boston, the Bruins would welcome back Brad Marchand as the Floroda Panthers came to town, and in the first period Mackie Samoskevich would score to give the Panthers the 1-0 lead. In the second period, A.J. Greer would score to grow the Panthers lead to two. Then in the third period, goals from Pavel Zacha, Elias Lindholm (PPG), and Morgan Geekie would get the Bruins back into the game, but goals from Eetu Luostarinen and Carter Verhaeghe would give the Panthers the 4-3 victory over the Bruins.
Los Angeles Kings v. St. Louis Blues – 8p ET
- In St. Louis, the Blues would play host to the Los Angeles Kings, and after a scoreless first period, Alex Laferriere would score to give the Kings the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period, Justin Faulk would score on the powerplay to tie the game at one for the Blues to force overtime. In the extra frame, Adrian Kempe would strike while on the powerplay to give the Kings the 2-1 overtime victory over the Blues.
Anaheim Ducks v. Nashville Predators – 8p ET
- In Nashville, the Predators would take on the Anaheim Ducks, and in the first period, Ross Johnston would score to give the Ducks the 1-0 lead, but Tyson Jost would score his first of the season to tie the game at one for the Predators. In the second period, the Predators would get on the board with a goal from Filip Forsberg, but goals from Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier, and Beckett Sennecke would give the Ducks the 4-2 lead. Then in the third period, Troy Terry would score to give the Ducks the 5-2 victory over the Predators.
Columbus Blue Jackets v. Dallas Stars – 8p ET
- In Dallas, the Columbus Blue Jackets would come to town to battle the Stars, and in the first period, Adam Fantilli and Boone Jenner (PPG) would score for the Jackets to take the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Tyler Seguin would score to get the Stars on the board and back within one. Then in the third period, Denton Mateychuk, Dmitri Voronkov, Kent Johnson would score to give the Blue Jackets the 5-1 victory over the Stars.
