  • The NHL announced the Three Stars of the Week with Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin taking First Star honors.
    • Jack Eichel (VGK) and Scott Wedgewood (COL) would round out the rest of the Three Stars.

Minnesota Wild v. New York Rangers – 7p ET

  • In New York, the Rangers welcomed the Wild to the Empire State for the lone time on the year.  In the first, New York jumped out to the 1-0 lead when Artemi Panarin scored his second goal of the year but then Jonas Brodin scored his first of the year as Minnesota evened the score.  After a scoreless second, Minnesota took the 2-1 lead when Danila Yurov scored his first and then an empty net goal from Kirill Kaprizov gave the Wild the 3-1 win over the Rangers.

Seattle Kraken v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET

  • In Philadelphia, the Flyers welcome the Kraken for the lone time on the year and in the first Seattle took the 1-0 lead with Jordan Eberle’s first of the year.  Owen Tippett then scored his fourth of the year to put Philadelphia on the board and then the Flyers took the lead when Tyson Foerster scored a power play goal, his second goal on the year.  In the second, Travis Konecny scored his first of the campaign to put Philly up 3-1 and then Tyson Foerster scored a man-advantage goal to put the Flyers up three.  Then, Jani Nyman scored a power play goal of his own to bring the Kraken within two but Owen Tippett scored his second of the night as the Flyers fly by the Kraken 5-2 following a scoreless third period.

Buffalo Sabres v. Montreal Canadiens – 730p ET

  • In Montréal, the Canadiens hosted the Sabres and in the first Oliver Kapanen gave the Habs the 1-0 lead with his fourth of the year.  In the second, Jiri Kulich scored his second of the year as Buffalo tied the contest.  In the third, Montréal took the 2-1 lead when Juraj Slafkovský scored his third of the year and then Lane Hutson netted his first of the year to give the Canadiens a two goal lead.  Tyson Kozak’s first of the year brough Buffalo within a goal but then Jake Evans got an empty net goal as the Canadiens doubled up the Sabres 4-2.
