Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Florida Panthers v. Buffalo Sabres – 1p ET

  • In Buffalo for an early afternoon matinee, the Sabres play host to the Florida Panthers, and in the first period, Josh Doan would score on the powerplay for his first goal as a Sabre to give them the 1-0 lead. Then in the second period, Doan would score his second powerplay goal, and Owen Power would score his first of the season to give the Sabres the 3-0 victory over the Panthers. Alex Lyon would stop all 32 shots faced to earn the shutout for the Sabres.

New York Islanders v. Ottawa Senators – 3p ET

  • In Ottawa, the Senators would play host to the New York Islanders in an afternoon matinee, and in the first period, David Perron would score on the powerplay to give the Senators the 1-0 lead. Then in the second period, both teams would explode for a total of 6 goals as Emil Heineman, Bo Horvat, and Anders Lee would score for the Islanders while Shane Pinto, Tim Stützle, and Dylan Cozens would score to keep the Senators ahead with the 4-3 lead. Then in the third period, Kyle Palmieri and Lee’s second of the game would give the Islanders the 5-4 comeback victory over the Senators.

Edmonton Oilers v. New Jersey Devils – 330p ET

  • In New Jersey, the Edmonton Oilers would come to town to face the Devils, and after a scoreless first period, Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt (PPG) would score to give the Devils the 2-0 lead, but a tally from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins would get the Oilers on the board and back within one. Then in the third period, the Oilers would get goals from Nugent-Hopkins and Curtis Lazar, but goals from Connor Brown (SHG), Hughes, and Dawson Mercer (ENG) would give the Devils the 5-3 victory over the Oilers.

Seattle Kraken v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET

  • In Toronto for Hockey Night in Canada, the Maple Leafs would play host to the Seattle Kraken, and in the first period Shane Wright scored on the powerplay to give the Kraken the 1-0 lead, but Morgan Rielly would score to tie the game at one for the Leafs. In the second period, John Tavares would score for the Leafs, but goals from Jani Nyman and Vince Dunn would give the Kraken the 3-2 lead. Theni n the third period, Tavares would net his second of the game while on the powerplay to tie the game at three for the Leafs to force overtime. In the extra frame, Joshua Mahura would score to give the Kraken the 4-3 overtime victory over the Maple Leafs.

New York Rangers v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET

  • In Montreal, the New York Rangers visit the Canadiens for a Hockey Night in Canada Original Six matchup, and in the first period, Juraj Slafkovský and Nick Suzuki (PPG) would score to give the Canadiens the 2-0 lead, but Mika Zibanejad would score on the powerplay to get the Rangers on the board and back within one. then in the third period, J.T. Miller would score to tie the game at two for the Rangers, and Matthew Robertson and Artemi Panarin would score to give the Rangers the 4-2 lead. Noah dobson would score for the Canadiens, but it would not be enough as the Rangers would hold on for the 4-3 victory.

Minnesota Wild v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET

  • In Philadelphia, the Flyers would play host to the Minnesota Wild, and after a scoreless first period, Vladimir Tarasenko would score his first as a member of the Wild to give them the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period, Owen Tippett would score to tie the game at one for the Flyers to force overtime. In the extra frame, Noah Cates would score to give the Flyers the 2-1 overtime victory over the Wild.

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p ET

  • In Columbus, the Tampa Bay Lightning would come to town to visit the Blue Jackets, and in the first period, Kent Johnson would open the scoring for Jackets, but goals from Ryan McDonagh and Anthony Cirelli (PPG) would give the Lightning the 2-1 lead. In the second period, Damon Severson would score to tie the game at two for the Jackets. Theni n the third period, Kirill Marchenko would score to give the Blue Jackets the 3-2 victory over the Lightning.

Dallas Stars v. St. Louis Blues – 7p ET

  • In St. Louis, the Blues break out their alternate jerseys as they host the Dallas Stars, and after a scoreless first period, Jordan Kyrou and Jimmy Snuggerud would score to give the Blues the 2-0 lead. Then in the third period, Mikko Rantanen would score for the Stars, but Pius Suter’s empty netter would give the Blues the 3-1 victory over the Stars.

Nashville Predators v. Winnipeg Jets – 7p ET

  • In Winnipeg, the Jets would play host to the Nashville Predators, and in the first period, Mark Scheifele’s powerplay goal would give him career NHL point 813 to take first place in franchise history, and Nino Niederreiter would score to give the Jets the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period, Michael Bunting would score for the Predators, but goals from Logan Stanley and Vladislav Namestnikov (PPG) would give the Jets the 4-1 victory over the Predators.
