2025-26 Preview
Continuing What They Started
For the St. Louis Blues, the 2024-25 season had a rough start, but once Jim Montgomery came in as head coach during the season, the Blues turned things around and were one win away from the second round. For the Blues, they’re going to look to continue to build off of that success from last season. To help facilitate that continued upward growth, the Blues cut ties with defensemen Nick Leddy and Ryan Suter. They also signed forwards Pius Suter and Nick Bjugstad to bolster the Blues bottom six.
For Montgomery, he will look to continue to guide the Blues with the same leadership he showcased in Boston, and when he came to the Blues last season. Seeing the roster having minor changes is a plus also for Montgomery as he enters his first training camp with the Blues as well.

Challenging the Central
For the Blues, they’ll look to have a stronger season in the Central Division and challenge the normal top 3 of Colorado, Dallas, and Winnipeg. The Blues gave the Jets a scare in the playoffs, and with Minnesota in the mix as well, the Central will be a drawn out battle between those five teams. Plus with the likes of Utah and Nashville looking to get into the playoff mix, and Chicago still in a rebuild, the Blues are going to need to start strong, and maintain consistency throughout the 2025-26 season.
