Today in the National Women’s Hockey League the Toronto Six and Metropolitan Riveters made a trade.
The Riveters acquired forward Kelly Babstock
The Six acquired MET’s 2021 First Round Pick and 2022 Second Round Pick
With this trade the Six now holds three first round picks in the 2021 NWHL Draft after acquiring Boston’s right before the 2020 NWHL Draft. The Six also now hold eight picks overall in the 2021 NWHL Draft.
For the Riveters, they gain an NWHL original as she played the first three seasons of the NWHL with the Connecticut Whale where she would play a total of 49 games tallying 23 goals and 27 assists for 50 points. then in her fourth season in the League, Babstock would play 16 games for the Buffalo Beauts tallying 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points. During the 2019-20 season Babstock would be a part of the PWHPA, but would sign with the Toronto Six on May 2nd, 2020 marking her return to the NWHL.
