On Wednesday, the NHL revealed all of the Home Openers for all 32 teams. For the Washington Capitals, they will have their 2026-27 home opener on Wednesday, October 7th when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Capitals will also play against the Tampa Bay Lightning for their home opener on Saturday, October 3rd.
The 84 game 2026-27 regular season will be opening on Tuesday, Sept. 29th.
