Vegas Golden Knights v. Carolina Hurricanes – 8p ET – Stanley Cup Final Game 5
- Back in Carolina for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, both the Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights look to take the 3-2 series lead back to Vegas for a chance to be one step closer to the Cup, and in the first period, Pavel Dorofeyev would score on the powerplay for his first of the Final to give the Knights the 1-0 lead, but Jordan Staal would redirect a Nikolaj Ehlers pass to tie the game at one for the Hurricanes. In the second period, Andrei Svechnikov would strike on the powerplay and Sebastian Aho would score to give the Hurricanes the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period, Svechnikov would score his second powerplay goal of the game to give the Hurricanes the 4-1 lead, and while Dorofeyev would net his second of the game for Vegas, the Hurricanes would go on to defeat the Golden Knights 4-2 to take the 3-2 series lead into Game 6 on Sunday.
