- In the PWHL, the Seattle Torrent announced that they have re-signed forward Alex Carpenter.
- Carpenter would sign a 3 year deal and is protected in the Expansion Roster Distribution Process.
- The Vancouver Goldeneyes announced that they have re-signed forward Sarah Nurse.
- Nurse signed a 2 year deal and will be protected from the Expansion Player Distribution Process.
- In the NHL, Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski has been named the 2026 Norris Trophy winner.
- The Nashville Predators announced that they have hired Chris MacFarland as their new President of Hockey Operations and General Manager.
- MacFarland is leaving the Colorado Avalanche to take this position with the Predators.
- The Vancouver Canucks announced that they have hired Manny Malhotra as head coach.

Vegas Golden Knights v. Carolina Hurricanes – 8p ET – Stanley Cup Final Game 1
- In Carolina for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, the Hurricanes return to the Final for the first time since winning the Cup in 2006 as they host the Vegas Golden Knights, and in the first period, Nikolaj Ehlers would strike 25 seconds into the game to give the Hurricanes the 1-0 lead. Ehlers would strike again on a breakaway for his second of the game and for the 2-0 Hurricanes lead, but Shea Theodore would score to get the Knights on the board and back within one. In the second period, Ivan Barbashev would score 30 seconds into the period to tie the game at two for the Knights and William Karlsson would score to give the Knights their first lead of the game, but Jordan Staal would score to tie the game at three for the Hurricanes. Then in the third period, Brett Howden would score for the Knights and Shayne Gostisbehere would score for the Hurricanes for the 4-4 tie, but a late tally from Tomas Hertl would give the Golden Knights the 5-4 victory over the Hurricanes to take Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.
