PWHL Player of the Week – Philips Performance Earns Weekly Honor

Today the Professional Women’s Hockey League announced their Player of the Week for the week of May 4th through 11th.

Gwyneth Philips (G – OTT)

  • Philips would backstop the Ottawa Charge to two major home victories in their Semifinal series against the Boston Fleet. On May 8th, Philips would make 36 saves in a 2-1 victory to give the Charge the 2-1 series lead. Then on May 10th, she would make 43 saves in a 4-3 double overtime victory over the Fleet to clinch the series for the Charge to move on to the PWHL Walter Cup Final for the second year in a row. In the two games played this past week, Philips would post a .953 save percentage and a 1.70 goals against average.
