Losing Streak Continues, Thunstrom Gets Hat Trick

The Whale came off of their bye week skating against the defending champions, the Minnesota Whitecaps.

The Whale had an interesting strategy heading into today’s game. They only dressed 4 defenders, with Erin Hall and Jordan Brickner out.

The game had some great back and forth offensive chances between both teams. Both Leveille and Wolejko were on top of their game, coming up with the saves on some incredible opportunities.

The first goal of the game would come in the third period, and it wouldn’t take long as it would be the speedy Allie Thunstrom getting the goal. Minnesota would double their lead 5 minutes later, the goal coming shorthanded by Allie Thunstrom again. She intercepted a pass to the point and was off to the races and scored on Wolejko. Down 2-0, the Whale would pull their goalie at the end of the game to attempt a comeback, but Thunstrom would end up tallying an empty netter, and securing her hat trick.

Not much to say about this game, other than they will get to play Minnesota again tomorrow at 130p.
