Mike Hoffman – Juho Lammikko – Troy Brouwer
Keith Yandle – Aaron Ekblad
Mark Pysyk – Alexander Petrovic
Bogdan Kiselevich – MacKenzie Weegar
James Reimer
Michael Hutchinson
Keys to the Game:
1. Quiet the home crowd
The Panthers are going to look to want tonget on the board only and silence the home crowd in DC. By doing so they can take control of the tempo of the game, and work towards getting their first win of the season.
Washington Capitals:
Projected Lineup:
Alex Ovechkin – Evgeny Kuznetsov – Brett Connolly
Jakub Vrana – Nicklas Backstrom – TJ Oshie
Chandler Stephenson – Lars Eller – Andre Burakovsky
Dmitrij Jaskin – Nic Dowd – Devante Smith-Pelly
Michal Kempny – John Carlson
Dmitry Orlov – Matt Niskanen
Christian Djoos – Brooks Orpik
Braden Holtby
Pheonix Copley
Keys to the Game:
1. Play a full 60 minutes
This is the biggest key for the Capitals. Against Toronto they laid off im the 3rd period and it costed them a victory. With the knowledge that Florida is looking for their first win of thw season, the Capitals should play with renewed urgency, and take it to the Panthers the full 60 minutes.
2. Stay out of the penalty box
Sonfar the Capitals have shot themselves in the foot with bad penalties, especially by Jakub Vrana in the offensive zone, that the momentum that they are building for themselves is lost and have to retreat to the penalty kill.
