The 2026 NHL Winter Classic would take place from loanDepot park in Miami as history would be made.

In an eight game day in the NHL, teams would say hello to 2026 and look to start the year off in the win column, plus it would be a quiet day of news and notes in the hockey world.

In an 11 game day between the NHL's 10 game slate and the lone game in the PWHL, teams would look to ring in a happy new year on a good note, plus news out of the PWHL, the NHL, the World Juniors continue preliminary round contests, and the roster for Team Canada would be announced for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

As 2025 inches closer to its end, the NHL would feature 5 games and one game in the PWHL.
