Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Minnesota Frost v. Toronto Sceptres – 7p ET (PWHL)

  • In Toronto, the Minnesota Frost would come to town to battle the Sceptres in PWHL action, and in the first period, Daryl Watts would score to record her 50th career PWHL point for the Sceptres to take the 1-0 lead, but goals from Katy Knoll and Britta Curl-Salemme would give the Frost the 2-1 lead. In the second period, Grace Zumwinkle would score on the powerplay and Kendall Coyne Schofield would score to grow the Frost’s lead to three. Then in the third period, Coyne Schofield would score an empty netter for her second of the game to give the Frost the 5-1 victory over the Sceptres.

New Jersey Devils v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET

  • Also in Toronto, the New Jersey Devils would come to town to battle a battered Maple Leafs, and in the first period, Bobby McMann would score on the powerplay to give the Leafs the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Nicolas Roy would score to give the Leafs the 2-0 lead. Then in the third period, Calle Jarnkrok and Matthew Knies (ENG) would score to give the Maple Leafs the 4-0 victory over the Devils. Joseph Woll would stop all 30 shots faced to earn the shutout for the Maple Leafs.

Montreal Canadiens v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET

  • In Florida, the Panthers would play host to the Montreal Canadiens, and after a scoreless first and second period, Brad Marchand would score on the powerplay and Sam Reinhart would score to give the Panthers the 2-0 lead, but Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki would score to tie the game at two for the Canadiens to force overtime. In the extra frame, Suzuki would net his second of the game while on the powerplay to complete the comeback as the Canadiens would go on to defeat the Panthers 3-2 in overtime.

Carolina Hurricanes v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET

  • In Pittsburgh, the Penguins would play host to the Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period, Sidney Crosby, Justin Brazeau, and Anthony Mantha (PPG) would score to give the Penguins the 3-0 lead. In the second period, Tommy Novak would score and Mantha would net his second of the season to give the Penguins the 5-0 lead, but Mark Jankowski would score to get the Hurricanes on the board. However, the Penguins would go on to defeat the Hurricanes 5-1. Stuart Skinner would stop 27 of the 28 shots faced to earn the victory for the Penguins.

New York Islanders v. Chicago Blackhawks – 830p ET

  • In Chicago, the New York Islanders would come to town to visit the Blackhawks, and in the first period, Calum Ritchie and Bo Horvat (PPG) would score to give the Islanders the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Teuvo Teravainen and Nick Lardis (PPG) would score for the Blackhawks to tie the game at two. After a scoreless third period and overtime, it would be Horvat with the shootout winner to give the Islanders the 3-2 victory over the Blackhawks.
