- The NHL announced that they have named Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid First Star of the Week.
- John Gibson (DET) and Joel Eriksson Ek (MIN) would round out the rest of the 3 Stars.
- The Buffalo Sabres relieved Kevyn Adams of his duties as general manager.
- The Sabres announced that they have hired Jarmo Kekäläinen as general manager.

Florida Panthers v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 7p ET
- In Tampa Bay, the Lightning hosted the Panthers and in the first Florida took the 1-0 with Sam Reinhart’s short-handed goal, his 16th goal on the year and then Anton Lundell scored his 10th as the Panthers took the 2-0 lead. In the second, Brad Marchand scored his 19th to put Florida up 3-0 and then Sam Reinhart scored a power play goal, his 17tth of the year, as the Panthers went up 4-0. Max Crozier then scored his first career NHL goal as Tampa Bay got on the board. In the third, J.T. Moser scored his third to bring the Lightning within two but Carter Verhaeghe scored his 10th as the Panthers stopped the Lightning 5-2.
Anaheim Ducks v. New York Rangers – 7p ET
- In New York City, the Ducks made the annual trek to Broadway to take on the Rangers. After a scoreless first, Jackson LaCombe scored his fifth, a short handed goal, to put Anaheim up 1-0 but then Matthew Robertson scored his second to tie the game for the Rangers. in the third, Cutter Gauthier scored a pair of goals, the first on the power ply and the second as an empty netter, to put Anaheim up 3-1 and then Pavel Mintyukov got his third as the Ducks got the 4-1 win over the Rangers.
Ottawa Senators v. Winnipeg Jets – 730p ET
- In Winnipeg, the Jets hosted the Senators and after a scoreless first, Nick Cousins put Ottawa up 1-0 with his fifth of the year but then Neal Pionk scored his second to tie the game for Winnipeg. Logan Stanley then scored his sixth to give the Jets the 2-1 lead. In the third, Jake Sanderson scored his seventh to tie the game. In overtime, Brady Tkachuk scored his second as the Senators got the 3-2 win over the Jets.
Nashville Predators v. St. Louis Blues – 8p ET
- In St. Louis, the Blues faced off against the Predators in a divisional battle and in the first Filip Forsberg scored his 12th to put Nashville up 1-0. Then, Dalibor Dvorsky scored his fourth to put St. Louis on the board. In the second, Michael Bunting scored his ninth to put Nashville back in the lead and then the Preds took the two goal lead when Filip Forsberg got a power play goal, his second goal of the night. Then, Reid Schager scored his third of the year to give Nashville the three goal lead. In the third, Dalibor Dvorsky scored his second goal of the night on the Tampa Bay power play to bring the Bolts within two but Filip Forsberg scored, securing the hat trick, an empty netter as the Predators got the 5-2 win over the Blues.
Los Angeles Kings v. Dallas Stars – 8p ET
- In Dallas, the Kings made a stop in the Lone Star State to take on the Stars. After a scoreless first, Andrei Kuzmenko scored a power play goal, his fifth to put Los Angeles on the board but then Matt Duchene scored his second to put Dallas on the board. In the third, Oskar Bäck scored his second to put Dallas up 2-1 and then Mikko Rantanen’s 14th put Dallas up a pair. Then, Wyatt Johnston’s 17th of the year secured the 4-1 win Stars win over the Kings.
