Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Columbus Blue Jackets v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET

  • In Toronto, the Maple Leafs would play host to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and after a scoreless first period, Dmitri Voronkov and Adam Fantilli would score to give the Jackets the 2-0 lead, but Dakota Mermis would score to get the Leafs on the board and back within one. In the third period, John Tavares would score to tie the game at two for the Leafs to force overtime. In the extra frame, Fantilli would net his second of the game to give the Blue Jackets the 3-2 overtime victory over the Maple Leafs.

Washington Capitals v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET

  • In Montreal, the Washington Capitals would come to town to face off with the Canadiens, and in the first period, Alex Ovechkin would snipe goal #905 one minute into the game with his first powerplay goal of the season to give the Capitals the 1-0 lead, but Brandon Gallagher would score on the powerplay to tie the game at one for the Canadiens. In the second period, Ethen Frank would score a pair of goals to give the Capitals the 3-1 lead, but Joe Veleno would score get the Canadiens back within one. However, Jakob Chychrun would score to put the Capitals back ahead by two, but Nick Suzuki would score to get the Canadiens back within one again. Sonny Milano would score late in the second period to reclaim the two goal lead for the Capitals. Then in the third period, Mike Matheson would score for the Canadiens get back within one, but a pair of goals by Ovechkin to complete the hat trick and Milano’s second of the game would give the Capitals the wild 8-4 victory over the Canadiens.

New York Islanders v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET

  • In Detroit, the Red Wings would go to battle with the New York Islanders, and in the first period, Calum Ritchie and Max Shabanov would score to give the Islanders the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Mathew Barzal and Bo Horvat would score to grow the Islanders lead to four. Then in the third period, Shabanov would score his second of the game to give the Islanders the 5-0 victory over the Red Wings. Ilya Sorokin would stop all 29 shots faced to earn the shutout for the Islanders.

New Jersey Devils v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET

  • In Florida, the New Jersey Devils would come to town to faceoff with the Panthers, and in the first period, Sam Reinhart would score to give the Panthers the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second and third periods, the Panthers would defeat the Devils 1-0. Sergei Bobrovsky would stop all 30 shots faced to earn the shutout.

St. Louis Blues v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET

  • In Philadelphia, the Flyers celebrate Hockey Fights Cancer with a visit from the St. Louis Blues, and in the first period, Justin Faulk would score a pair of goals to give the Blues the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Rodrigo Abols would score his first career goal to get the Flyers on the board and back within one. Then in the third period, Tyson Foerster would score to tie the game at two for the Flyers to force overtime. In the extra frame, Travis Sanheim would score to give the Flyers the 3-2 overtime victory over the Blues.

Edmonton Oilers v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 730p ET

  • In Tampa Bay, the Edmonton Oilers limp into town as they face the Lightning, and in the first period, Trent Frederic would score to give the Oilers the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period, Nick Paul would score to tie the game at one for the Lightning to force overtime. In the extra frame, Jake Guentzel would score to give the Lightning the 2-1 overtime victory over the Oilers.

Seattle Kraken v. Chicago Blackhawks – 8p ET

  • In Chicago, the Blackhawks play host to the Seattle Kraken, and after a scoreless first period, Tyler Bertuzzi would score his 10th of the season and Teuvo Teravainen would score on the powerplay to give the Blackhawks the 2-0 lead. Then in the third period, Tye Kartye and Shane Wright would score for the Kraken to tie the game at two, and then late in the period while on the powerplay, Jaden Schwartz would score to give the Kraken the 3-2 comeback victory over the Blackhawks.
