2025-26 Preview

Digging Out of the Bottom

The New York Sirens have finished dead last in the PWHL the first two seasons of the league, and with the incoming expansion teams in Seattle and Vancouver, the Sirens were hit hard as they would lose both their starting and backup goaltenders in Corinne Schroeder (Seattle) and Abigail Levy (Boston) respectively, and losing key forwards in Alex Carpenter, Gabby Rosenthal, Chloe Aurard, Abby Roquee, Jade Downie-Landry, and Elizabeth Giguere and defender Ella Shelton. The progress the Sirens made during the 2025-26 season has a really good chance of taking a step back. Especially after having one notable signing in defender Jincy Roese.

If the Sirens want to get out of the cellar, they’ll need their team to step up and have a strong season, but this looks like it’s going to be another long season in New York.
