- Forward David Kämpf cleared unconditional waivers, and had his contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs terminated.
- Kämpf is now an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any NHL team.
- The Edmonton Oilers placed defenseman Troy Stetcher on waivers and sent down forward Isaac Howard to Bakersfield of the AHL.
- The moves are in conjunction to having forward Zach Hyman taken off of IR, which should happen as soon as Saturday, No. 15th.
- In the PWHL, the Seattle Torrent named forward Hilary Knight captain.
- Knight becomes the first captain in Torrent franchise history.
- Knight was previously the captain of the Boston Fleet the past two seasons.

Pittsburgh Penguins v. Nashville Predators – 2p ET – 2025 NHL Global Series – Avicii Arena – Stockholm, Sweden
- In Stockholm, Sweden, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators go to battle at the Avicii Arena for the first game of the Global Series, and after a scoreless first period, Evgeni Makin would score to give the Penguins the 1-0 lead. Then late in the third period, Filip Forsberg would score to tie the game at one for the Predators to force overtime. In the extra frame, Steven Stamkos would score 44 seconds in to give the Predators the 2-1 overtime victory over the Penguins.
Vancouver Canucks v. Carolina Hurricanes – 7p ET
- In Carolina, the Hurricanes would play host to the Vancouver Canucks, and in the first period, Max Sasson would score to give the Canucks the 1-0 lead, but a pair of goals by Andrei Svechnikov would give the Hurricanes the 2-1 lead. Later in the period while shorthanded, Elias Pettersson would score to tie the game at two for the Canucks. In the second period, Conor Garland would score on the powerplay to give the Canucks the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period, Taylor Hall would score to tie the game at three for the Hurricanes to force overtime. In the extra frame, Sebastian Aho would score to give the Hurricanes the 4-3 overtime victory over the Canucks.
Philadelphia Flyers v. St. Louis Blues – 8p ET
- In St. Louis, the Philadelphia Flyers would come to town to battle the Blues, and in the first period, Jordan Kyrou would score to give the Blues the 1-0 lead, but Trevor Zegras would score his fifth of the season to tie the game at one for the Flyers. However, the Blues would respond as Jimmy Snuggerud would score to retake the lead. In the second period, Justin Faulk would score to give the Blues the 3-1 lead, but Christian Dvorak would score to get the Flyers back within one and Zegras’ second of the game would tie the game at three for the Flyers. Then in the third period, Dylan Holloway and Robert Thomas would score to give the Blues the 5-3 lead, but goals by Dvorak and Owen Tippett would tie the game at 5 for the Flyers to force overtime. After a scoreless 5 minutes of extra hockey, it would be Zegras with the shootout winner as the Flyers would go on to defeat the Blues 6-5 in a wild one.
