- The NHL Alumni Association announced that former Toronto Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin has been named the winner of the 2025 Börje Salming Courage Award.
- The award honours Börje’s lasting legacy of bravery, courage, and dedication both on and off the ice.
- The presentation of the award will be on Saturday, November 15th in Sundin’s native Sweden during the NHL’s visit of the Global Series.

Utah Mammoth v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET
- In Toronto, the Maple Leafs look to escape with a win over the Mammoth and in the first Utah took the 1-0 lead when Michael Carcone scored his third of the year. In the second, William Nylander’s sixth on the year put the Leafs on the board and then an Auston Matthews goal, his eighth, gave Toronto the 2-1 lead. Then, Mikhail Sergachev scored his third to tie the game for the Mammoth. In the third, John Tavares scored his seventh to put Toronto back in the lead and then Matias Maccelli scored his third to put the Leafs up two. Matthew Knies then hit the empty net to give Toronto the three goal lead but then Dylan Guenther scored his sixth for Utah. However, the comeback would not be in the cards for Utah as they fell to the Maple Leafs by the score of 5-3.
St. Louis Blues v. Washington Capitals – 730p ET
- In Washington, the Capitals welcomed the Blues for their visit and in the first Washington took the 1-0 lead when Tom Wilson scored on the power play, his seventh goal of the year. In the second, the Caps went up 2-0 when Alex Ovechkin scored his 900th NHL goal and then Anthony Beauvillier scored his second of the year to give Washington the 3-0 lead. John Carlson then went on to score his third and then Anthony Beauvillier scored his second of the game as the Caps would ease out to the 5-0 lead. In the third, St. Louis got on the board with a shorthanded goal from Alexey Toropchenko but then Tom Wilson scored his second of the night as the Capitals dominated the Blues 6-1.
