- The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have fined Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin.
- Malkin was fined $5,000 for slashing Winnipeg Jets defenseman Logan Stanley on Saturday, Nov. 1st.
- The fine is the maximum allowed per the CBA.

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Utah Mammoth – 330p ET
- In Utah, the Mammoth would play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning for some matinee hockey, and in the first period, Lawson Crouse would score for the Mammoth to take the lead, but Yanni Gourde would score to tie the Lightning at one. In the second period, Anthony Cirelli would score to give the Lightning the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period, Kailer Yamamoto would score his first of the season to tie the game at two for the Mammoth, but Jake Guentzel’s fifth of the season and an empty netter by Brandon Hagel would give the Lightning the 4-2 victory over the Mammoth.
Columbus Blue Jackets v. New York Islanders – 5p ET
- On Long Island, the New York Islanders would play host to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and in the first period, Matthew Schaefer would score on the powerplay to give the Islanders the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Miles Wood would score to tie the game at one for the Jackets. Then in the third period, Denton Mateychuk would score to give the Jackets the 2-1 lead, but Schaefer’s second of the game and a tally with 38 seconds left in regulation by Simon Holmstrom would give the Islanders the 3-2 victory over the Blue Jackets.
Calgary Flames v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET
- In Philadelphia, the Calgary Flames would come to town to faceoff with the Flyers, and after a scoreless first period, Jonathan Huberdeau would score to give the Flames the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period, Huberdeau would net his second of the game to give the Flames the 2-0 lead. The Flyers would get on the board with a Travis Konecny goal, but the Flames would hold on for the 2-1 victory over the Flyers.
New Jersey Devils v. Anaheim Ducks – 8p ET
- In Anaheim, the New Jersey Devils would continue their west coast trip as they visit the Ducks, and in the first period, Beckett Sennecke and Frank Vatrano would score to give the Ducks the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Cutter Gauthier would score to grow the Ducks lead to three. Then in the third period, Jack Hughes would score for the Devils, but Chris Kreider would score the empty netter to give the Ducks the 4-1 victory over the Devils.
Detroit Red Wings v. San Jose Sharks – 8p ET
- In San Jose, the Sharks would play host to the Detroit Red Wings, and after a scoreless first period, Lucas Raymond would score with 1:55 left in the second period to give the Wings the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period, Jeff Skinner would score for the Sharks to tie the game at one, but Moritz Seider would score his first of the season to give the Red Wings the 2-1 lead. However, late in the third while on the powerplay, Sam Dickinson would score his first career NHL goal to tie the game at two for the Sharks to force overtime. After a scoreless five minutes of extra hockey, it would be James van Riemsdyk with the lone goal of the shootout to give the Red Wings the 3-2 victory over the Sharks.
