Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Carolina Hurricanes v. Boston Bruins – 1p ET

  • In Boston, the Bruins would play host to the Carolina Hurricanes for an early afternoon matinee, and after a scoreless 40 minutes of action, Casey Mittelstadt and Viktor Arvidsson would score to give the Bruins the 2-0 lead. Alexander Nikishin would score for the Hurricanes, but the Bruins would hold on for the 2-1 victory.

Pittsburgh Penguins v. Winnipeg Jets – 3p ET

  • In Winnipeg, the Pittsburgh Penguins would come to town to face off with the Jets, and in the first period, Gabriel Vilardi and Brad Lambert would score to give the Jets the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Vladislav Namestnikov would score and Kyle Connor would score a shorthanded tally on a penalty shot to grow the Jets lead to four, but Sidney Crosby would score on the powerplay to get the Penguins on the board. Then in the third period, Blake Lizotte would score for the Penguins to get them back within two, but Connor would net his second of the game with the empty netter to give the Jets the 5-2 victory over the Penguins.

Calgary Flames v. Nashville Predators – 330p ET

  • In Nashville, the struggling Predators would host the lowly Calgary Flames, and in the first period, Michael Bunting, Matthew Wood, and Jonathan Marchessault (PPG) would score to give the Predators the 3-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period, Jonathan Huberdeau and Joel Farabee would score for the Flames, but an empty netter by Filip Forsberg would give the Predators the 4-2 victory over the Flames.

Colorado Avalanche v. San Jose Sharks – 4p ET

  • In San Jose, the Sharks would play host to the Colorado Avalanche, and in the first period, Martin Necas would score his 9th of the season to give the Avalanche the 1-0 lead 30 seconds into the game, but in the final 70 seconds of the period Macklin Celebrini would score to tie the game at one for the Sharks. In the second period, Philipp Kurashev would score to give the Sharks the 2-1 lead, but Nathan MacKinnon would score to tie the game at two for the Avalanche. Then after a scoreless third period, and in the extra frame, Kurashev would net his second of the game to give the Sharks the 3-2 overtime victory over the Avalanche.

Dallas Stars v. Florida Panthers – 6p ET

  • In Florida, the Dallas Stars would come to town to faceoff with the Panthers, and after a scoreless first period, Brad Marchand and Sam Reinhart would score to give the Panthers the 2-0 lead, but Wyatt Johnston would score on the powerplay and Justin Hryckowian would score his first career goal on the powerplay to tie the game at two for the Stars. Then in the third period, Sam Bennett would score to give the Panthers the 3-2 lead, but Mikko Rantanen would score to tie the game at 3 for the Stars to force overtime. After a scoreless five minutes of extra hockey, it would be Marchand with the shootout winner to give the Panthers the 4-3 victory over the Stars.

Washington Capitals v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET

  • In Buffalo, the Washington Capitals would come to town to battle the Sabres, and in the first period, Dylan Strome and Aliaksei Protas would score to give the Capitals the quick 2-0 lead, but Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch, and Isak Rosen (1st career NHL goal) would score to give the Sabres the 3-2 lead. In the second period, Sonny Milano would score his first of the season to tie the game at three for the Capitals. After a scoreless third period and overtime frame, Bowen Byram would score to give the Sabres the 4-3 shootout victory over the Capitals.

Ottawa Senators v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET

  • In Montreal for Hockey Night in Canada, the Canadiens would play host to the Ottawa Senators, and in the first period, Cole Caufield would score his 10th of the season Juraj Slafkovsky would score on the powerplay to give the Canadiens the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Drake Batherson and Michael Amadio would score to get the Senators on the board and tie the game at two. In the third period, Tim Stutzle would score for the Senators and Ivan Demidov would score for the Canadiens as this game would go to overtime tied at three. In the extra frame, Alex Newhook would score to give the Canadiens the 4-3 overtime victory over the Senators.

Toronto Maple Leafs v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET

  • In Philadelphia, the Flyers would play host to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Hockey Night in Canada, and in the first period, Christian Dvorak would score to give the Flyers the 1-0 lead, but Auston Matthews would score to tie the game at one for the Leafs. In the second period, Jake McCabe and Nicolas Robertson would score to give the Leafs the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period, Easton Cowan would score to give the Maple Leafs the 4-1 lead, but Tyson Forester would strike on the powerplay for the Flyers to get back within two. However, Calle Jarnkrok would get the empty netter to give the Maple Leafs the 5-2 victory over the Flyers.

St. Louis Blues v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p ET

  • In Columbus, the Blue Jackets would play host to the St. Louis Blues, and in the first period, Justin Faulk would open the scoring for the Blues, but a tally from Charlie Coyle would tie the game at one for the Jackets. In the second period, Zach Werenski would score to give the Jackets the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period, Sean Monahan would score on the powerplay to grow the Jackets lead to two, but a goal from Nick Bjugstad would get the Blues back within one. However, the Blue Jackets would hold on to defeat the Blues 3-2.

Vancouver Canucks v. Minnesota Wild – 7p ET

  • In Minnesota, the Vancouver Canucks would come to the Twin Cities to faceoff with the Wild, and in the first period, Vladimir Tarasenko would score to give the Wild the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Drew O’Connor would score to tie the game at one for the Canucks, but Marco Rossi would score to give the Wild the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period, Vinnie Hinostroza and Jonas Brodin would score to give the Wild the 4-1 lead, but O’Connor would net his second of the game to get the Canucks back within two. However, Ryan Hartman would get the empty netter to give the Wild the 5-2 victory over the Canucks.
